“We celebrated a birthday last night at Izumi - It was fantastic, not only was our food outstanding, our service was in a league all it's own. Our server was so attentive, so quick with everything he did. We had originally thought we'd have 14 in our party, but ended up with 12, we were seating in a "private" dining room - I can't thank you enough for that - it allowed us to talk freely between the 2 tables and not feel like we were being to loud. Highly recommend the all you can eat sushi, although the hibachi was out of this world too! Thank you for a great experience- will definitely be back. Oh almost forgot the Cotton Candy Vending machine was magical too!”

“I have visited SushiYa many times because the food is always of the highest quality and the service is impeccable. The creative presentations of the chefs is comparable to what would be found at an expensive Japanese Restaurant in a very large city, so dining at SushiYa is affordable and uniquely special! Waiting times are very short (if at all) and availability of close parking is a plus.”

“I helped plan and host a surprise retirement party for a dear friend at Tin Roost in 'The Coop'. Mackenzie, their Event Coordinator, was professional, responsive and very detail orientated. She worked with us quickly to plan the party and checked in at appropriate times to be sure we were still on track. Her recommendations for service, food and layout were spot on. The event service staff was polished and hospitable. Each person we encountered at Tin Roost seemed genuinely happy to be working there.”

“Good coffee shop for locally roasted and brewed coffee. Love the cold brew and giant of the earth pour over as well as the chai tea to name a few. A local gem and great for people who like a better cup of coffee. Lucky to have them in the Iowa city area. Wish they could get the business back after COVID to be open later at night particularly at least the downtown location and now the north liberty location with the opening of the new hospital in north liberty.”

“I've been here quite a few times and have always gotten a Tea Bomb because they're so good. Today I tried the Cherry Dilly Shake and it was delicious too. Over the years the Menu has definitely evolved and I like the additions. However, it is a little confusing that some of the old menus are still up with the new and now there are order slips that don't even cover most of the options. I would also like to see the nutritional info for the main menu items. It's hard to know if anything here is actually as healthy as they claim without that info. Also, when I asked about specific nutritional values (although the employee did seem knowledgeable) the info they gave me directly conflicted with the very vague nutritional range given on the actual menu. The dining area has always been clean. I like that there's a kids play area and now a rewards program. Thank you for adding the up charges for add ins to the menu. But I would visit a lot more if I could tell the nutritional components of what I was putting in my body ?.

“My kind of dive bar! Will definitely be going again! The staff was exceptional... Very attentive. The owner seemed very nice as well. I stumbled on a night of volleyball going on outside and trivia inside. Seemed like everyone was having a great time. I had the sirloin and mashed potatoes for dinner. Was ok but I plan on trying other dishes. Has a little more than your typical bar food.”

“Selection and cleanliness are both great but the reason I wanted to review was actually for the mother’s room- it is my first time using one provided by HyVee and it was so nice! It was private and comfortable. There was a place to nurse, change the diaper and wash hands all in one place. It was unexpectedly very nice and I am grateful. We were able to get our groceries AND take care of our four month old 💕”

1.) The best guess I could give, for the mystery flavor, is maybe like a combination of toffee and the smallest amount of macadamia? Either way it’s growing on me!

2.) I have never gone to a business, and immediately just feel like i’m talking to some friends. Your 9am crew was absolutely amazing today and they definitely deserve a thank you.

“As a former professional brewer and certified beer judge, I can honestly say that the beer at Field Day is as good as it gets. I sampled many of the lagers and IPA’s, and all were excellent. The Czech Pils was my favorite. The food is also great. We sampled the egg rolls and gyro loaded fries. Service was excellent. There were a couple of beer order snafus, but our server, Madi, made it right. The Iowa City area craft beer scene is great, and Field Day is at the top of my list. Great food, beer and service. And the atmosphere is really good, too.”
