“McDonald's is just to expensive for the food you get. I will say that the food at this McDonald's was cooked well for there breakfast items, first time in several years that has happened. I really don't like the in personal ordering machines and no one at the registers, McDonald's is the only one that has gone to this extreme, and is aggravating.”

“A cute coffee shop in a cute town! Was looking for a good caffeine stop on I80 and was so glad to find Brewed Awakening. Only 2-3 min off the highway, and an easy place to park and take a little walk too. Everybody was really nice and the community feeling in the shop was sweet. I got the Honey Bee Latte and it was exactly what I was looking for! Great espresso flavor and not too sweet. I loved their pin map of where everybody’s visited from!”

“i have previously had the drinks here and was looking forward to getting a treat. Walked in, was looking at the menu. The guy working didn't greet us at all, but he was making a drink, so I just let it go. he finished that drink, still didn't say a word to us, and started making another. After finishing that, he walked to the register where he killed a fly with his bare hands and flicked it onto the floor. the entire time he never one said a word. so much for "social". The treat wasn't worth it, so we left. Not a word spoken.”

Place is a little ran down and looks “eeeeh” at first but food is great.”

“Well, EVERYTIME I call in an order I am told "hold please" and either my call is never returned to and I eventually hang up or I am hung up on.. gets frustrating seeing as taking it to go is the best option of me. but I can say most of what I've tried is pretty good, execpt last night, my southwest rolls seemed to be undercooked and prices for certain things seems a little high for being a bar.”

“While I don't like Scooters as much as Starbucks and feel Scooters is overpriced, this little coffee shop is perfect. The staff is always friendly and having these options in a smaller town is a bonus. Coffee is good, and overall if you like coffee, it's worth stopping at!”

As long as you can catch it.Some may dog the rocket, but they gotta give it a chance. Must see place and to talk to the locals in the area. Great place to hit on Halloween if you’ve got some kiddos. Stop by for some exotic cocktails!”

“8 of us stopped by about 20 minutes before they were going to close. The cashier/cook was so glad we stopped by. He took all of r orders then told us it might take a bit since was also the cook. Food came out real quick and all was delicious. From cheese steak,pizza and wings they all were good. Place was spotless along with restrooms. 10 out of 10!!”

“My husband and I stopped here on a cross country trip and we were very impressed. We both loved the cheesy potato sausage soup and Mac and cheese. We got to the restaurant around 4:30 pm and we were the only ones there for a bit. Lauren G was our server. She was very attentive and apologetic when we had a bit of a wait due to prep work not being finished at the time we ordered. When my steak came out over cooked she offered to have it remade and taken off the bill. I was not expecting anything comped in fact I just asked her for more soup and to call it even. She reduced the bill for the wait and comped my steak on top of getting me a bowl of soup. Definitely will be back next cross country trip.🥰”

We had such a great time at Sue’s Kitchen at The Embers! The steak platter was seriously incredible. Perfectly cooked, super flavorful, and easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. Big shoutout to Ethan for absolutely nailing it in the kitchen!

Katie, our waitress, was just as awesome. She was super friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of the whole time without ever feeling rushed.

All around, it was a really enjoyable experience with amazing food and great service. We’ll definitely be coming back!”

“We RV travel in the summer and were at Prarie Rose State Park near Harlan, IA. We came into Harlan for lunch following a nice morning walk with our dog. Buck Snort would accomodate us along with our dog, something which seems to be uncommon In Harlan.

I had a great burger and potatoe salad whike my wife had a pizza. We also had a couple of Blue Moon drafts.

Service was great, food was good, beer was cold, price was good. And we could have our dog with us.

All I want!
