Main + Abbey Reviews
Our server Maria was excellent! The food was less than we are used to. My wife ordered her steak medium rare and it was medium well. Took 20 minutes for her to get a new steak and it was cooked correctly but the salad that was on the plate when it was taken back wasn't replaced. Tool the manager a couple of trips to stop and apologize. She did comp the steak and added a dessert. Not the best experience we've had there but Maria bent over backwards to help us.
Our drinks and meals were delicious! I tried the pork chop and it was perfect. Leftovers were still good too. The service is attentive and top notch, as was the outdoor patio seating. Very comfortable, yet upscale!
The steak is always amazing when we go there. They always get the steak perfect and that was how they were done this time too. We usually get the Brussels sprouts since they have always done them perfect each time going there. This time they were still cold, not crispy or as flavor-able almost like they dumped into a bowl without a care. So really disappointed in that.
Main + Abbey offers a diverse menu for brunch and special occasions, focusing on a la carte options rather than buffets. The atmosphere remains quiet and relaxing, making it perfect for celebrations. The food receives high praise, especially the chicken fried steak and filet, although some reviewers express a desire for a more extensive menu and wine selection, particularly for cabernet sauvignon. The attentive service from staff, including exceptional service from Shaunghnessy, adds a personal touch to the dining experience. Many guests appreciate the kindness and professionalism of the staff, contributing to a welcoming environment. Overall, Main + Abbey continues to impress, standing out in a city with limited notable restaurants.
