“It was busy and bustling, but we still got to order fairly quickly. Then we got to sit down and the food was brought to the table in no time at all. Everything was piping hot, fresh, and delicious. We ordered custard separately and again it was brought to the table quickly. I was shocked that they were able to mix in the pecans so thoroughly they were all throughout the custard without being broken. All said a great experience and would stop here on a road trip again.“

“This is the best place to get a Philly. We both got the create your own Phillies with steak and they were fabulous. The fries were “seasoned to perfection” (as my fiance said). The fries are like Arby’s curly fries, but straight. The service was on point as well. We think this is a hidden gem of the siouxland area!“

“I pulled into the drive-thru of this popular midwestern fast-food chain after a long day of traveling because I was craving something hearty and comforting. The butterburgers are absolutely fantastic, featuring perfectly crispy edges and a wonderfully soft, buttered bun that sets them apart from typical burger joints. I also couldn't resist trying their famous crinkle-cut fries and a scoop of their rich, creamy fresh frozen custard, which made for the perfect sweet ending to my meal. The only minor downside was that the drive-thru line moved quite slowly, but the food is made fresh to order and arrives piping hot, which makes the extra wait entirely worth it.“

“I felt like I had stepped back into an old bar/restaurant from the 1930's. It was overly warm in the restaurant. I was more interested in drinking my ice water than drinking my glass of pop. I got a rubien sandwich which was very good. I also got a bowl of chili. To my surprise, I found there were jalapeños in it. That was fine with me though I and I assume others would prefer to know this prior to ordering. The chili was also very meaty with few beans. The waitress was very nice and did a great job. Be prepared. If you need to use the restroom you will need to walk into the basement via a stairway which may make it difficult for elderly or intoxicated patrons.“

“I used to love this Perkins but the last two times I haven't even been able to finish my meal because it had been way too salty. I tried to get some of the salt off my fries before eating them but it didn't help. i couldn't do anything about my burger being too salty. Sad because this particular Perkins has always been so good.“

“Always love going to Bob Roe’s when I have the opportunity. The wings and pizza are some of the best I’ve ever had.The pizza always has a good bake on it with crisp, slightly charred pepperoni.There are a few former Sioux Citians that I know that hit one of them every time they are back. “My husband, child & I had never been to Opa Time. We moved here in Summer of 2020. I heard the “devastating” outcry from the public when the fire happened & how they wanted it back and they’d miss it and everything so forth. I thought it was horrible that it happened for the owners & hoped they had insurance. Come to the re-opening I hear about people wrapped around the building & how they don’t have a big enough parking lot & how it was blocking off traffic because so many people wanted to go to opa time to try their food. I thought hmm this much be some good stuff. I better wait until the hype settles and give them a shot. Brings me to tonight when we went in at just the right time. Not a sole was in the restaurant. No drive thru, nothing. We got our food brought out to us by a very nice man. It was probably the best fast food establishment I’ve seen in my life. And I think Jim’s burger is pretty great on Pierce. It suddenly got so busy and in the rain the man went out to get someone’s order so it would be ready by the time they got to the window. Talk about top notch service. Five stars isn’t enough!!! We will be back & with TIP money next time because they deserve it.“

“Drove all the way from Sioux Falls, SD to get Old Chicago. We had Jahni as our server. She was prompt, friendly, talkative. Our food was excellent. A tad sad they didn’t have spicy marinara, but above all great. Would recommend to anyone, and above all our service was excellent.
