“I visited this place in November 2024 for the first time since it opened. I liked the atmosphere, the food was great, and the service was good. Im not familiar with most sushi or pho, but I had the Pho ga and it was delicious! The sprouts came on the side, which is great for me because I dont like those. I highly recommend trying this place out and giving the Pho a try. I heard great things about the Bento box and rolls too.”

“We celebrated a birthday last night at Izumi - It was fantastic, not only was our food outstanding, our service was in a league all it's own. Our server was so attentive, so quick with everything he did. We had originally thought we'd have 14 in our party, but ended up with 12, we were seating in a "private" dining room - I can't thank you enough for that - it allowed us to talk freely between the 2 tables and not feel like we were being to loud. Highly recommend the all you can eat sushi, although the hibachi was out of this world too! Thank you for a great experience- will definitely be back. Oh almost forgot the Cotton Candy Vending machine was magical too!”

“I have visited SushiYa many times because the food is always of the highest quality and the service is impeccable. The creative presentations of the chefs is comparable to what would be found at an expensive Japanese Restaurant in a very large city, so dining at SushiYa is affordable and uniquely special! Waiting times are very short (if at all) and availability of close parking is a plus.”

“Big expectations. Some met, others not so much. We gladly paid the corkage on a ten year old special Napa Cab we brought with us. We did get it decanted properly. A+ to the waitstaff. Started with Sourdough and shrimp cocktail. $15 Sourdough was dry and sent to the bin. Shrimp was fresh and crisp and poached well to that special cool crispness. Pea soup was amazing with great presentation. Duck egg pasta house made was also a highlight. Needed some peas and bacon in the pasta, but then that's a pasta carbonara right? Hint to the chef. Scallops were done to perfection and vegetables were fresh. We wanted red meat to go with the wine, but the only offering was a 52oz aged Waygu for $365. Not very couple friendly. We would have loved to order a sharable filet or smaller bone in ribeye. None were offered. Would have liked to see a whole fish option or at least something like Seabass or black cod offered. You won't find white tablecloths here, nor black or white table linen offered even though you would expect that at this price level. We lingered and did not feel rushed. Crowd was typical college town vibe. Parking is on the street, be prepared to walk.”
