“I helped plan and host a surprise retirement party for a dear friend at Tin Roost in 'The Coop'. Mackenzie, their Event Coordinator, was professional, responsive and very detail orientated. She worked with us quickly to plan the party and checked in at appropriate times to be sure we were still on track. Her recommendations for service, food and layout were spot on. The event service staff was polished and hospitable. Each person we encountered at Tin Roost seemed genuinely happy to be working there.“

“Upscale-themed restaurant within the Hyatt Regency hotel on the Iowa River Landing. 5-star service by Kat & atmosphere were the highlight of our dinner experience, with the Iowa Corn Chowder a close second. The chestnut risotto was very good, the filet was average, the monkfish was interesting but a little bland, and the beer menu needs to be expanded to include at least one amber/belgian quad option to mirror the type of restaurant they aspire to be. We’ll definitely give it another shot in the future!“

It was private and comfortable. There was a place to nurse, change the diaper and wash hands all in one place. It was unexpectedly very nice and I am grateful. I chose the meatloaf which was such a generous portion that I could only finish half of it. It was the best meatloaf I've had in a restaurant. We've been here a few times before and purposely chose to dine here during our short trip to Iowa City. It did not disappoint!“

“BEST. PIZZA. EVER.🤤🫶🏻 Great atmosphere & the bar tenders/staff were phenomenal. Very friendly and accommodating. While I was there with friends, a minor “incident” occurred with a very disgruntled customer from out of town. As I witnessed in horror the absolute, negative, childlike behavior of the “out of towner”, I was quite impressed with how well the manager and staff handled the immature adult. Even after she made the poor manager cry. I personally give the restaurant 15/10 stars!! I will most DEFINITELY be back! Along with my family and friends!!“
