“We have now eaten here twice, and we had a great experience both times. Our son is attending the nearby university, and this will be our go-to Mexican restaurant until he graduates. Everything we have eaten here is something we would order again, service is pretty good, and the place is clean and authentic. The guacamole flight is something you won't find anywhere else, and is highly recommended if you enjoy guac. The queso dip with chorizo is seriously the best we've ever had, and we order it EVERY time we eat at a Mexican restaurant. They have a large variety of draft beers, available in 2 sizes. The chips & salsa are fresh. It's far enough from campus that it's usually not very crowded. The menu is HUGE, so there's always something new to try. My son enjoyed his first flautas and my wife enjoyed her first gorditas outside of Taco Bell. I had the camarones chipotle for the first time because of previous reviews, and I was not disappointed. Portion sizes are generous and the ingredients are high quality. Thanks Xolo, see you next time.“

“the tacos here are pretty good but I just found a RUBBER BAND in my taco. and by found, i mean I pulled it out out of my mouth like, that doesn't feel like chicken... how does that even happen?? my dinner is ruined. :(“
“I had the pleasure of meeting Laura while visiting Iowa City, she was kind enough to give me 2 bottles of their salsa, as I am a fan of spicy dips of all sorts. The salsa was delicious, a good heat, without losing the vibrant flavors of a top quality salsa. Top of the line quality!“

“GREAT EXPERIENCE
I used to get Pancheros weekly. To say I loved it was an understatement. Until the last few years, the service & the quality became consistently bad at every single location in Coralville, North Liberty, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids & Marion. I deleted the app after twice I had to wait more than an hour for an online order, (once having to go home without my order literally after waiting 2 HOURS & not getting my money back until contacting customer service).
I'm stubborn so after a couple times dining in being unpleasant, I finally accepted the loss & quit going altogether for over a year.
I had a monster craving for it today while in Coralville & thought I'd stop by & take my chances.
I AM THRILLED TO SAY THIS IS THE PANCHEROS I REMEMBER.
Quality was great (hot & fresh), service was great, place was clean, also excited to see a separate station for to-go orders! 😍

“My first experience ever at Taco John's wasn't the best for me, But my second one was exceptional. Im usually not a person who usually complains but i was a little leary on returning. I called and spoke to a lovely lady named Karen. She was so understanding and kind, and has completely changed my perspective on this establishment. She went above and beyond with her professional customer service so I wanted to say thank you Karen for treating your customers with A-grade integrity by being compassionate to listen as well kind to make it right. “I drive around Iowa city and Cedar Rapids for work and eat out all the time the past ten years you will not find a better Taco Bell. There's A very good reason also. You'll understand if you walk in. I live in Cedar Rapids And the Taco Bell's up there simply cannot compare. Food is always fresh af here and Never skimpy. It is 100% the best Taco Bell in the corridor at this Moment in history!“
