“Terrible experience, very disappointed with our visit today. We talked about going there all weekend because we enjoy the 86. Drove over an hour to get there by four today because they were closing early. The girl at the front was very sweet. We were very excited to be there and told her it was our first time there. She said we could sit down and order or go to the bar. We sat down and several servers looked at us, but no one waited on us. We went to the bar and said we had never been there before. A guy said there is a menu on the counter but I'll be over there cleaning, let me know what you want and walked away. We had no idea what we were doing since it was our first time there. I wanted to try wines and my husband whiskey, but not if no one wanted to wait on us. So, we looked at each other and decided to leave. Once in the parking lot I realized it was a long way home and I should use the restroom first. So, I went back in, and I told the girl behind the counter we were leaving because no one waited on us, but I needed to use the restroom first. When I came out of the restroom she said to enjoy the rest of our day. Would have had a better day if we could have tried something... Went from very excited to be there to can't wait to leave...“

“I live an hour away and I always look forward to going to this particular place every time I’m in that direction. I’ve had sushi in a lot of different places all over the United States and nothing holds a candle this place. Happy ell Maki and Manhattan roll are my favorite. And don’t forget the squid Otsunami salad!!“

“Stopped at Brewhemia for the first time today and it was wonderful! Met one of my late father’s friends there who hasn’t seen me since I was a couple days old, so we were catching up talking about our memories of my dad. I was so engrossed in conversation that I hadn’t realized they had closed almost 40 minutes prior. No one came over to rush us out, but I apologized as they offered me a to-go cup for my drink and they graciously told us it wasn’t a problem. We then sat outside on the patio for another hour in the shade finishing up our coffee. Thank you so much for giving us space while we talked about some pretty heavy things along with our wonderful memories. It truly means a lot to me as I cherish every moment I get to talk about my father, especially with those who cared about and love him almost as much as I do. ♥️ I will certainly be suggesting this place to everyone, but I promise to remind them of the closing time so they don’t overstay their welcome like we did. 😅“

“We had hamburgers pizza it tasted like a burger 😋 and crab Rangoon pizza both were fantastic 😍. I definitely recommend these choices. We played lots of games including mortal combat and pac man. Never knew how many arcade games came out. Love this place when we come into cedar rapids.“

“I helped plan and host a surprise retirement party for a dear friend at Tin Roost in 'The Coop'. Mackenzie, their Event Coordinator, was professional, responsive and very detail orientated. She worked with us quickly to plan the party and checked in at appropriate times to be sure we were still on track. Her recommendations for service, food and layout were spot on. The event service staff was polished and hospitable. Each person we encountered at Tin Roost seemed genuinely happy to be working there.“

“Upon arrival, I was impressed by the atmosphere. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and feels well suited for special occasions—I could easily see myself hosting a birthday dinner here, as the space is also great for photos. The complimentary chips and salsa were fresh and flavorful. While I would have been satisfied with just the salsa, I ordered the queso to accompany the chips. The queso was good, but the salsa was the standout.
Although I do not drink alcohol, the waitstaff recommended a mocktail that was the closest I’ve felt to having a margarita in quite some time, which I appreciated. For my entrée, I ordered the Al Pastor fajitas. I am a fan of Al Pastor and have tried it in many places, including restaurants in Mexico City, and I would rank this version among the top. It was incredibly flavorful—slightly greasy, but well worth it. The meal was served quickly and fresh, and the portion size was generous enough to split into three meals.
The staff were all incredibly welcoming, including one of the owners, who stopped by our table to check on us. I took the tres leches cake to go for dessert; as someone who prefers a sweeter cake, it wasn’t quite to my taste, though I would be open to trying other desserts in the future. Overall, I really enjoyed both the atmosphere and the meal and look forward to returning to try more items from the menu.“

“I went here on a recommendation and got a gyro and the big boy sandwich. It came with fries. The gyro was excellent with a soft pita and plenty of lamb. The big boy sandwich is good, however it's very big, very messy with tons of meat on it. the fries are just standard fries. The place is pretty hole in the wallish with smoke paraphernalia and such. Food is only carry out. Would go back for the gyros and maybe try a few other things.“
