“We just had great tenderloins at the 5th Quarter in Van Meter. It was our first time there. Clean, friendly, good menu. Maybe the best tenderloin ever. Obviously home done. Not overlarge but I still could only eat half of it. Friendly waitress. No downside for us.”

“This is my second time picking up a poke bowl and milk tea from Gluck. It has been delicious both times! I have ordered the 2 protein build your own bowl both times and I'm figuring out my favorite toppings. It is a huge serving, I may have to get the 1 protein bowl next time! The milk tea with flavored bobas are very tasty as well. I have been finding myself craving a poke bowl regularly. I highly recommend Gluck Tea.”

“Quite possibly the best bbq on the planet!! They had lots of gluten free choices.. all meat and sauces are gluten free. Although they served the food with 4 huge slices of bread which seems unnecessary and is totally cross contamination. The brisket was melt in your mouth amazing! The garlic Parmesan potatoes were very delicious!”

“We have dined here so many times, I've lost count. Our favorites are the Chipotle fettuccine pasta, guacamole, salsa, flautas, the Las Alegres special, quesadillas, and of course, the margaritas 🍹. Small group or large, they can take care of your table without missing a beat. We will be back again and again!”

“Delicious! Sushi and sashimi we have had has always been fresh! No kids menu but they had helpful suggestions! My kids eat sushi and sashimi so I didn’t have any problems! “I want to give a shout out to Early Birds restaurant in West Des Moines. Kevin was a fantastic bartender. First time I have been here. The food was amazing. I love the atmosphere. The whole concept is great. The menu… too many things to choose from. I got the Cinnamon roll French toast. Delicious. And the Hashbrown holes delicious. It was great to get an appetizer before my French toast. I have to give a shout out to Kevin as he knows everything on the menu plus he has great suggestions for drinks from the bar! Will deffinately be going back again.”

I tried the summer seasonal smores latte, I am a smores latte connoisseur, and this one was amazing!! But what really had me running to leave a stellar review? The almond patty pastry. Only one bite into it and I’ve determined it’s going to be something I crave way too often. Growing up in Eastern Iowa as a bohemie, iykyk, I frequently visited Jaarsma’s and know my way around almond pastries of all kinds. The Coffesmith’s almond patty rivals all others! You have to have it! 🤩🥐”

“As someone who was raised in Korea, the food at What Dak is authentic. The chicken is double-fried crispy with classic Korean sauce flavors. The additional sides (radish, kimchi, etc.) are just as authentic as the rest of the menu and serves as a great companion to the chicken. HIGHLY recommend.”

I recently also had them cater a Saturday lunch at work for us and they knocked it out of the park! Eddie is a phenomenal asset to this restaurant. Always friendly and helpful. “One of our local favorites! Discovered Fresh this summer and it’s a regular in our rotation now. Food is reliably delicious, reasonably priced with generous portion, and service is always friendly and quick. The patio is nice in good weather, and actually pretty quiet for being right along Hickman. I also ordered a family meal with a side of falafel for a group dinner I hosted last night - says feeds 4-5, but our group of 6 had plenty to eat plus we have leftovers that will last my husband and I several days. A great deal and mix of food to meet multiple dietary preferences. Highly recommend checking them out!”
