If not for nostalgia this would only deserve a 3 star rating. I mean it is inside a gas station in a small rural town... I loved what genuine A&W stuff they did have but I hated that it was 61° out and they had the air-conditioning on (try enjoying an ice cream float when you're already shivering). I wouldn't come here if you are on a time crunch. They do have a drive through but the wait time is around the same as Culver's price is also about the same. Food wise though blows everything I have had out of the park. This may just be me. Cheese curds best I have ever had. Chicken tenders better than Popeyes. Chili cheese fries mmm amazing. Fantastic A&W restaurant. It's tucked into the corner of their gas station, with probably only about 225 square feet in the seating area, but the gas station is nicely decorated with mostly wood panelled walls, and so looks much nicer than the simple white plaster and tile that 80%+ of gas stations normally use. The staff has always been nice and fast, and their food is fantastic! A great place to go!
