“I served in the Army for nearly 10 years and was lucky enough to travel to Hawaii, where I first tried Hawaiian BBQ and loved it. When I found out there was a location here in Des Moines, I had to stop in while in town for the INPS Nurse Practitioner Conference.

The food was great—juicy, savory, and full of flavor. I ordered the Huli Huli Chicken (their main entrée, I think) and it did not disappoint. Their packaged sriracha sauce added the perfect heat. I do wish I had ordered veggies instead of double rice, but that’s on me! The twist soft serve was fantastic, and although I’m usually a huge fan of Spam and rice, I surprisingly didn’t love the spam musubi this time.

What really stood out was the service. My food was ready before I even sat down, every staff member I interacted with was friendly and smiling, and the restaurant was spotless. When I overheard they had a Veterans Day special after I’d already paid, the manager (David) went above and beyond and issued me a refund—very kind gesture. My only complaint was the ice machine running out, but the manager handled that right away.

All around, great food, excellent service, and an awesome team. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town and highly recommend this spot!“

“First time ever going to Tropical Smoothie and wow, what an experience as soon as I walked in.

The staff were super friendly and helped me choose a delicious treat. I believe her name was Mady (I could be mistaken), but she was over the top nice and excited to help me choose my next meal. I ended up going with what she recommended, which was Bahama Mama, and I was not disappointed! Will def be my go to smoothie now every time and I plan on being a regular!

“I was excited to see a noodle shop while I was visiting the Des Moines Iowa area. I expected a Chinese noodle shop but it was not it was a variety of noodle pasta dishes very reasonably priced and actually very very tasty. I will look forward to trying something different next time this time I got the parmesan chicken and the chicken part was especially delicious“

“I came to Olive Garden to celebrate my sister’s birthday, and the experience was absolutely awesome! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for a special occasion. Our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Now, let’s talk about the food—the chicken parmesan is a must-try! It was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and paired wonderfully with the endless breadsticks and salad. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals, and the dessert was the perfect sweet ending. Olive Garden truly made my sister’s birthday memorable. Highly recommend for great food and excellent service!“

“Went with my niece before an appointment. Showed up a little before 9 and Zuella was the cashier. She was very personable and polite. She had a warm feeling about her. We dined in and my niece and I both got the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. Both sandwiches were fresh and Zuella came out and checked on us. She was very hospitable. Restaurant was clean. What I did appreciate was there was a table of staff all sitting together eating behind us. Whether it was them on break or about to start/ended shift, it was nice to see they were given that time and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Great experience.“

“I was pressed for time and needed to order pizza for a work luncheon with 10 people. After looking at local options, I decided to give Blaze Pizza a try. I placed an online order around 10:09 AM for 8 specialty pizzas. I arrived at the location around 10:45 AM, and a staff member came out to ask if I was waiting for an online order. I confirmed, and he promptly brought all the pizzas out to me. He was courteous and professional, which I really appreciated.

The pizzas were a huge hit! Everyone loved the variety of toppings and sauces, and the crust was absolutely fantastic. I’ll definitely be returning for more work lunches and will also be bringing my family next time. Thanks so much for the great service and delicious food!“

“I recently ordered 2 large (catering size) orders of nuggets for our son’s graduation party from this store. They are one of his favorites! The nuggets were delivered on time to our home by an employee of the store at no charge. They were fresh and hot upon arrival! It didn’t take long for them to disappear 😋 I was able to do everything through the app—very easy! I ordered from this restaurant in particular because their minimum order amount was lower. The manager confirmed my order via email and even followed up with me after. I could not have been more happy with the whole experience! I highly recommend this store for your CFA catering needs.“

“Honesty, great food for the most part. Atmosphere inside was really nice. I’ve done pick up as well and that is fairly smooth too. Only complaints are they give you an optional tipping screen when paying, when they don’t really offer any courtesy acts once they’ve given you your food both for dining in and for pick up. Also they jack up the price on tea, lemonades and certain sides, and I have to say the fruit cup is not worth the price jump. But their sandwiches are great, service is fast, and overall not bad if you just get a water and chips for your drink and side.“

“There was a sign for where you could order your meals but it wasn’t very visible so we had gotten in line for adding the ingredients and making the sandwiches (which we thought was the start of the line) but then had to go back to the front to order. Very crowded don’t recommend going during the weekend especially lunch hours. Their internet was down so they could only do charges up to 25 dollars one at a time. The kimchi Philly was delicious. The associate who made our sandwiches and took payment was helpful and efficient“

I wasn't sure how to order but the wonderful young lady explained everything to me and prepared me a delicousy to remember and I enjoyed getting to talk some with her. The bread has very unique texture and is better than most that I have had anywhere. ✨Congratulations
