I was really impressed with the five guys staff at the West Des Moines location on Mill Civic as I came in at 10:49 PM with an 11 PM closing time. They welcomed me in with smiles and greeted me as if it was the middle of the day. They didn’t seem at all annoyed that it was so late and I was able to have a great conversation with the general manager. They have one of the best burgers around, and great french fries.
I’ve never had an issue with the food at this location but I only do order pickup and every time it is painfully slow. Tonight I timed it - 6 minutes from the time my food was ready before finally bagging up my order. It just sat there while they worked on other orders. To me it would make sense once one order is ready to bag it and complete the order.
