“First time eating here. Friendly staff, fast service, reasonable prices, generous portions and delicious burgers and fries. I enjoyed the mushroom Swiss burger with perfectly seasoned crinkle fries. Our daughter is home from college, and she told us that’s the best burger she’s had in a long time. She had the bacon cheeseburger. Hubby had the double cheeseburger, it looked great too. He must’ve enjoyed it, he ate the whole thing! Glad we found this place, we will be back.“

“Couldn’t recommend this place enough. We had a wonderful time tonight for a work outing. Called and made a reservation a week prior. Decor, atmosphere, and vibe was phenomenal. Our waitress, Kennedy, was a joy to have—attentive, friendly, and upbeat! Food was delicious! I think that’s one of the best breaded tenderloins I have had. It was thick, juicy, flavorful, and delicious! And what a pleasant surprise to be able to play DJ Bingo while there! It was truly a great time! Will be back!“

“We chose to check out in a lane that had a first day cashier. The girl bagging the groceries was very helpful to him and us. He accidentally double charged us and the girl took it upon herself to get the approval from management to get it deducted and get us going to keep the line moving!!! Very impressed!! “Okay as far as greasy IHOP food goes, this place was pretty good. I was amazed to see how modernized it was and on top of that, how clean it was. Food was good for what it is. Service was pretty on point, restrooms were clean ? and we found lots of free parking.

“I am the type of person that loves positivity and giving great reviews. Give honor to where honor is due. And I give great reviews, call the managers and praise the service all the time. I have also had my share of terrible service and/or food and usually do not say a word. The experience I had this afternoon at Culvers in Ankeny was horrendous. The food that is. The drive through guy that took my order, payment and delivery was so kind and helpful. I ordered a cod dinner and was only able to eat some of the fish. The 2 sides I ordered were cheese curds and fries. Both were so cold, hard and dry. I was so disappointed. The roll that came with it was cold, hard and dry as well. The butter was good! I did eat most of the fish but it too was tough. WHAT has happened to Culvers? Don't they realize that they are not the only option for food? Sad to say but I will be going to those other options for my meals in the future. The concrete I ordered was sloppy (down side of cup) and melting but did taste good. I HATE leaving a poor review but come on Culvers. Do better. Be better. If it had been just 1 food this review would never have been written. Oh, side note. This was after the lunch rush and before dinner rush. It was close to 2. Got right into drive through with no waiting. Disappointed.“

“Today's late breakfast was my first visit to an IHOP location. No Kiddin'! The "Meet & Seat" was speedy, we even got our preferred comfy booth, and it was comfy. Server Gina arrives before my seat was warm, to bring menus and take drink orders. She's back in no time with a smile, a pot of coffee and cups. The IHOP coffee is good!

My sweetie likes omelets. Meat, cheese, eggs. No veggies. No fuss. Cheerful Gina helps build my sweetie's preferred omelet with hash browns, of course. This IS Iowa! We're chatting and mixing our coffee when hot food arrives. Speedy Indeedy!

The Missus says her omelet was awesome! I grade a new restaurant by their country fried steak and eggs. My country fried steak was full-tummy sized. Eggs, hashbrowns and pancakes are included. My dilemma was, what to eat first while it was hot. My order was perfectly cooked and delicious! No, I didn't finish all of it.

Gina knows her business and soon arrives with to-go boxes and the bill. Price was reasonable, food quality was great, service was excellent. "Have a Blessed Day" and we have!

5 stars for this first visit! We are sure to return.

“I’ve been a regular here for years until I moved to another city but I still work in Grimes and I got my co workers food today from here. The bartender was super nice on the phone and in person. When we got the food back to my office everything was perfect. The food was amazing. My boss who usually trashes anything I order if it isn’t something in his usual food places, well he absolutely loved it and said next time we ever get burgers that’s where we are going from this point on!
