“Atmosphere today got a low score because of the massive Construction almost around the building it was a it confusing but the burgers are still great and and the fries are kickin!?
Parking: As of right now there's not much parking there at all because of all the construction but if you look to the east a little bit there is more than plenty“

“First time eating here. Friendly staff, fast service, reasonable prices, generous portions and delicious burgers and fries. I enjoyed the mushroom Swiss burger with perfectly seasoned crinkle fries. Our daughter is home from college, and she told us that’s the best burger she’s had in a long time. She had the bacon cheeseburger. Hubby had the double cheeseburger, it looked great too. He must’ve enjoyed it, he ate the whole thing! Glad we found this place, we will be back.“

“Couldn’t recommend this place enough. We had a wonderful time tonight for a work outing. Called and made a reservation a week prior. Decor, atmosphere, and vibe was phenomenal. Our waitress, Kennedy, was a joy to have—attentive, friendly, and upbeat! Food was delicious! I think that’s one of the best breaded tenderloins I have had. It was thick, juicy, flavorful, and delicious! And what a pleasant surprise to be able to play DJ Bingo while there! It was truly a great time! Will be back!“

“Okay as far as greasy IHOP food goes, this place was pretty good. I was amazed to see how modernized it was and on top of that, how clean it was. Food was good for what it is. Service was pretty on point, restrooms were clean ? and we found lots of free parking.

“The burger was excellent and they have a large selection of sides. The waitress was friendly, quick and efficient. My husband’s first time there, will definitely visit again.
Parking: Kind of a strange setup, the parking is in the rear and you have to walk around the building to get in.“

“Went through the drive thru yesterday for lunch for my toddler. The line was crazy for drivers side so we went through passenger side and I let him pass the money out his own window and get his food. He loved it and the guy working the window was amazing with him! He had the biggest smile!“

“I’ve been a regular here for years until I moved to another city but I still work in Grimes and I got my co workers food today from here. The bartender was super nice on the phone and in person. When we got the food back to my office everything was perfect. The food was amazing. My boss who usually trashes anything I order if it isn’t something in his usual food places, well he absolutely loved it and said next time we ever get burgers that’s where we are going from this point on! Thanks again Uptown!“

“Stopping for a couple days in Des Moines on the way west I was delighted to find such a great place. When I saw a local place that had gyros I knew I had to go. I was not disappointed. Far from it. Delicious food. Fast and friendly service. And the owner came out to meet my motopup Izzy. I know I'll be stopping here the next time I'm in Des Moines. Do yourself a favor and try it.“

“Ordered the big bacon cheesburger special for lunch carryout after reading some reviews on the burgers. I must say i was impressed, the meat was cooked to order, the bun was grilled and the veggies on the buger made every bite delectable. Will be back for sure!“

“Today's late breakfast was my first visit to an IHOP location. No Kiddin'! The "Meet & Seat" was speedy, we even got our preferred comfy booth, and it was comfy. Server Gina arrives before my seat was warm, to bring menus and take drink orders. She's back in no time with a smile, a pot of coffee and cups. The IHOP coffee is good!
My sweetie likes omelets. Meat, cheese, eggs. No veggies. No fuss. Cheerful Gina helps build my sweetie's preferred omelet with hash browns, of course. This IS Iowa! We're chatting and mixing our coffee when hot food arrives. Speedy Indeedy!
The Missus says her omelet was awesome! I grade a new restaurant by their country fried steak and eggs. My country fried steak was full-tummy sized. Eggs, hashbrowns and pancakes are included. My dilemma was, what to eat first while it was hot. My order was perfectly cooked and delicious! No, I didn't finish all of it.
Gina knows her business and soon arrives with to-go boxes and the bill. Price was reasonable, food quality was great, service was excellent. "Have a Blessed Day" and we have!
5 stars for this first visit! We are sure to return.

Parking: Fun Fact: My pancakes are the same size as the serving plate. Care must be taken not to overflow the plate with warm syrup! Or, just eat faster!“

“Both the ladies in the Chrome Cafe was very professional, courteous, friendly, & with great attitude. And my order was done in a fast & timely manner that I didn't even get comfortable in my seat to wait for the order to be done. Will definitely come back to see them two again. And yes the veggie burger & fries was cooked to perfection. Well done all around ladies. See you when I'm back in town again. Layta PS... I eat majority of the food as I was typing this lol.“

“Hands down my favorite bar. All the bartenders rock, the space is cozy, the drinks are actually reasonably priced, and they don’t skimp on the liquor. If it’s a busy night it can be HARD to find seating, but that’s most bars to be fair. Highly recommend“
