We tried Steak and Shake in Coralville a couple of years ago and were very disappointed. We decided to try the new Wesr Des Moines location and were disappointed again. We ordered double steakburgers with cheese and the patties were the thickness of a slice of bacon
Both burgers came out wrong. The one with onions was not supposed to have mustard. But it did. The one without onions also had no mustard. One burger was grilled correctly the other was overcooked and were hockey pucks. Went to Steak and Shake to get a shake. Oh my no milk shakes. Sorry no wonder it was 20 years between

We tried the Steak and Shake in West Des Moines. What an incredible disappointment. We ordered and paid for DOUBLE steakburgers with cheese and got singles with patties as thin as a slice of bacon and had very liittle flavor. The fries wete good so I gave 2 stars. We'll never need to go back.
