“Every time we come to Des Moines, Iowa, one of our must-stop places is The Breakfast Club. The food is always great, but what really makes it special is the service. Our waitress, Michele, helped us each day we came in and she was absolutely wonderful—so kind, positive, and welcoming every single morning. She truly makes you feel at home and starts your day off right. If you’re visiting Des Moines, do yourself a favor and stop by The Breakfast Club for breakfast and ask for Michele. We’ll definitely be back!“

“My family and I recently stopped at Smash Park in Des Moines on a whim for some family fun and food. The atmosphere was laid back and our kids thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor pickle ball courts and the arcade. Food, dessert and drinks were all crowd pleasers! And to go completely over the top, we left our blanket outside and Jerry answered my phone call, went outside to retrieve it from the bench where I left it, and mailed it back to me free of charge. In a world where kindness and customer support are harder and harder to come by, Jerry and Smash Park get a 10/10 from this family!!!“

“Simon’s in Des Moines is absolutely incredible. The food was beyond amazing — every bite was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The service was outstanding, even though they were busy. What really stood out was the personal greeting from Simon himself. That level of care says so much about how much he values his guests. “This is our first time here and it was amazing! The atmosphere is straight out of the 80s/90s and being a GenX it was awesome! Even the menu was a flash back to the past. The food was phenomenal! Their breakfast potatoes were to die for and I don’t do hash browns usually. Chelsey S was a top of the line server. The only minor complaint was the hostess didn’t know if they served Pepsi or Coke products. Just seemed odd her not knowing. I would hands down recommend this for a breakfast place.“

“Absolutely DELICIOUS!!! While in Ankeny today, we wanted to try something new. We went completely blind with our choice as it just happened to be near by. WOW!!! It seriously now is our favorite Mexican restaurant! We were greeted right away, and noticed when walking to our table how clean the restaurant is and impressed with the open kitchen! The service was TOP NOTCH! Delicious food. Great prices on lunch menu, plus still left with leftovers to have tonight. HIGHLY recommend! We asked for a table in back as there was live music by the bar and we wanted to be able to talk together Our server was excellent - wish I had gotten her name Food was amazing - we got brussel sprouts, sliders, French fries w Parmesan, stuffed mushrooms, and spinach artichoke dip All came out timely and very good! We had martinis and all were very delicious and also came out quick I’ve been here about six times before and it’s always great Good patio area too Definitely a great place!“

“I discovered this restaurant a few weeks ago just driving down in Windsor Heights. I love it. The staff is amazing and welcoming. The food is great and authentic. The cocktails are good. They are made right. Today I ordered El “Jibarito” which was very tasty! I’ll be dining here again for sure and I love that they also deliver through Uber Eats. Thank you for the superb experience!!! =)“
