“I discovered this restaurant a few weeks ago just driving down in Windsor Heights. I love it. The staff is amazing and welcoming. The food is great and authentic. The cocktails are good. They are made right. Today I ordered El “Jibarito” which was very tasty! I’ll be dining here again for sure and I love that they also deliver through Uber Eats. Thank you for the superb experience!!! =)“

“Great place to eat, these guys are coming out with a new line in their products. Boba tea and and some new lemon tea drinks try it, its pretty great. Not to mention their shrimp puffs are great. Mongolian is great try asking for a little spicy it adds a whole new level“

“My family and I recently stopped at Smash Park in Des Moines on a whim for some family fun and food. The atmosphere was laid back and our kids thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor pickle ball courts and the arcade. Food, dessert and drinks were all crowd pleasers! And to go completely over the top, we left our blanket outside and Jerry answered my phone call, went outside to retrieve it from the bench where I left it, and mailed it back to me free of charge. In a world where kindness and customer support are harder and harder to come by, Jerry and Smash Park get a 10/10 from this family!!!“

“First I feel like I have to say there is no where to park and the wait is long even on a Wednesday night. Inside is dark and loud and cramped. My ham and bean soup was very good! Stuffed mushroom appetizer was ok but not worth the $10.50 price. My steak was ok-I’ve had way better. Waitress said I should ask for it well done since the cook usually undercooked the steak and it turned out more done than I would have liked it but the waitress never came over to ask… The asparagus had that woody flavor. Potatoes were good. My bf let me try his onion rings and meatball sandwich and both were very good! Cake tasted old… the staff is very nice but looked a little overwhelmed.“

“This is our first time here and it was amazing! The atmosphere is straight out of the 80s/90s and being a GenX it was awesome! Even the menu was a flash back to the past. The food was phenomenal! Their breakfast potatoes were to die for and I don’t do hash browns usually. Chelsey S was a top of the line server. The only minor complaint was the hostess didn’t know if they served Pepsi or Coke products. Just seemed odd her not knowing. I would hands down recommend this for a breakfast place.“

“I drive rideshare. I had never heard of Main Street Cafe and Bakery until a few days ago when I dropped a couple of young people off who work there. I asked about it, and they were excited to tell me their favorite items. Yesterday I dropped a nice employee off and I looped around and went to the drive through, intending to order something to share with my wife. I didn't see the dessert items on the menu, so I asked and the young lady named pretty much everything from cookies to cinnamon rolls, etc. She was efficient yet not rude, and I knew they were starting to get busy so I decided quickly on some cookies. I ordered my wife and I one each of the "Monster" and "Chocolate Chip" cookies, so I could surprise her when she got off work that day. long story short, the service was fast and friendly, and we both enjoyed the cookies. We look forward to exploring more of your menu.“

“Aposto has a lovely atmosphere and some delicious dishes. The polenta cakes were a fan favorite as they were both light and crispy, and the sauce added a wonderful depth of flavor. For entrees, we liked the gnocchi’s lightness as each pesto lemon bite was really nice. However, the way it’s portioned makes the meal seem quite small, and there is very little crab in the dish itself. We ordered the duck special over risotto as well. The confit duck leg was cooked and spiced to perfection, but it’s accompanying risotto lacked a flavor punch.

For dessert, neither of us were wowed. They were decent and flavored as advertised, but they also didn’t quite hit the mark. We did adore our wines (especially the orange wine).“

“My mashed potatoes had aluminium foil in them. They replaced but the meatloaf portion was 1/2 the size of the original. My husband's baked potato and meat on the top were cold. Server dropped the silverware and said he would return with clean. Never happened. Wouldn't recommend.“

“This is a destination Brewery. There were 39 beers on tap when i was there, and what I had had the body and subtlety of the best European beers. They do have flights (generous pours of 5 beers, but if your idea of good beer runs to the light and conventional, it would be best to stick with ordering from the rather daunting list, which is arranged by heaviness. The staff is very friendly and helpful in picking out you might like. It was crowded with families and groups of young people the Sunday afternoon I was there, but the parking lot is large. It is located on the edge of the extensive park system that surrounds the Racoon and Des Moines rivers, ahd one of the main biking paths goes right up to the building. Too bad they don't serve food.“

We asked for a table in back as there was live music by the bar and we wanted to be able to talk together Our server was excellent - wish I had gotten her name Food was amazing - we got brussel sprouts, sliders, French fries w Parmesan, stuffed mushrooms, and spinach artichoke dip All came out timely and very good! We had martinis and all were very delicious and also came out quick I’ve been here about six times before and it’s always great Good patio area too Definitely a great place!“

“I want to give a shout out to Early Birds restaurant in West Des Moines. Kevin was a fantastic bartender. First time I have been here. The food was amazing. I love the atmosphere. The whole concept is great. The menu… too many things to choose from. I got the Cinnamon roll French toast. Delicious. And the Hashbrown holes delicious. It was great to get an appetizer before my French toast. I have to give a shout out to Kevin as he knows everything on the menu plus he has great suggestions for drinks from the bar! Will deffinately be going back again.“
