McDonald's in Boise

“This is easily the best McDonald’s location in the valley. I never thought I’d be an expert on this subject, and then I was blessed with a neurodivergent child with very particular food avoidance. McDonald’s is “safe” food for her, so we frequent many locations. The Vista/Kootanai restaurant is ALWAYS friendly, fairly fast and accurate, and C L E A N!! You can tell the management here is better than most locations, because the employees actually care. They’re so kind. Yeah, we get the occasional messed up order, but less so here than at other locations. Good job, guys!“

“The biggest selling points for McDonald's are good Coca-cola and clean bathrooms. You can count on their Coke being good because of the special contract they have with the company. And, if you use the app, you can get good deals and free food. Kids love the play areas, so it's a good place for parents to meet.“

“They were actually very Rude.
When they took my payment.
When I had to watch my drinks, and food sit by the window, after being ready to deliver.
I tapped on the window, to ask for my food, that was ready and waiting for me, only to get attitude from the staff member.
It's getting really ridiculous to go to a fast food restaurant and be treated like a lower class citizen, all becausethey want to chat with each other, instead of doing their job..
I believe I was treated that way, because I didn't use the McDonald's app.

“McDonald's is McDonald's and while it's been around for longer than I've been alive it's still a good place to eat it's a shame to see how many people are still expecting fast food to be fast when they've added so much more to a fast food joints plate such as the Uber eats and DoorDash and GrubHub The front counter is no longer a priority the drive-through is a priority and even still sometimes it takes forever because some people like to order $100 orders through the drive-thru while others expect it to be a super fast situation because they utilize it for what it's for which is a meal or two and heading out our economy is made it to where McDonald's is like the cheapest food to eat yet the most unhealthyest food to eat still I would eat there seems how it's within my budget“

“I came to visit this last weekend from Pocatello. And when I say I was blown away by the food. The customer service. The speed and accuracy of my order. Everything. I mean it! The food that gets served in Pocatello is flat. Doesn’t taste good. The burgers are falling apart and messy. So I was expecting the same from any McDonald’s. But no. This place is incredible. Fluffy buns that are perfectly toasted. My burgers were picture perfect. I almost didn’t want to eat it. My fries were light, fluffy and perfectly salted. We had our food before we even got comfortable at our booth. Everyone was so nice. And I felt so welcomed. I had to walk up to management before I left to tell them how much I loved it. Thank you!!“

“I veered in hoping for a quick breakfast after work and my billfold was in my trunk (as a security guard, I don't carry a wallet on the job) and I wasn't sure what kind of payments they would take on my phone. I was trying to download the app and couldn't get it done on time and hoped that someone in the Drive-Thru could help me. They were so friendly! Even though there was a huge line, the clerks in the Drive-Thru helped me and I was able to get a smoothie and figure out Google Wallet and now I will be a regular breakfast customer after my shift.“

“They canceled my order on my way there on my break at work and I unfortunately had to order inside and was late off break, but when I went inside I could tell they were slammed and Leroy in the front was SO kind and helpful and apologetic to me (which wasn't necessary but very sweet) thank you Leroy for all your hard work and smiles. And thanks to all the hard workers doing the best they can at this location, it is very busy“

“Hailey at the front is a superstar always making sure customers don't wait at the front for service like other McDonald's in the area, food is always fresh at this location, especially when Hailey is running things, as a manager in a different industry, I definitely recommend McDonald's trains more ppl the way Hailey is trained to run this location. Thanks again Hailey for the great service.“

“My last couple visits have been good. I know for a while there the staff was unbearable. We have been frequenting McDonald's lately cause of their new happy meal toys. I stopped in before we ordered through the app. I got to talk to Joel. He was so kind to tell me what toys they had available. I told him which ones we wanted and that we were going to place our order soon. My husband works next door so they are all aware of who he is since he grabs drinks from then often. So Joel knew which order to look out for.

My nuggies were nice and hot! My fries were warm and extra floppy, just the way I like them! My apple slices were good and my chocolate milk got the spot. I also got the toy I wanted which completed my meal.

The staff here isn't always the nicest but my last interaction with Joel and Brian were great! McDonald's food is what it is, McDonald's. It was a great happy meal and I'm happy that o got to deal with some nice employees there.“

“New McDonald's at Lake Hazel and Five Mile Rd. Friendly staff, but when line is backed up, the manager should take over to help, and not just stand and supervise. I'm sure it'll get better in time. Sometimes my fries are luke warm and taste old, not crispy like they usually are. Still gotta love McDonald's for their Quarter Pounders!“

“What makes McDonald's breakfast even better is Renee's customer service. You have an outstanding employee at the first point of contact for your drive-thru. I continuously come back to this location because of her service! Thank you Renee! Shout out to Connor as well on the evening shift! He's is amazing!“
