“my partner and i like to think we can handle our liquor. we were in the mood for an easy-going night because we had a long drive the next day and the cat was in the yurt, but much to our surprise, we found no such thing here. akin to one of my reoccurring hallucinations, i picked up a payphone to dial the establishment for entry. after making the call to enter, a door hidden in the mirror wall opened and we were invited in. we were seated at a nook next to the out-of-use fireplace with large, white candles - possibly fake. having said that, i'm no stranger to mystery or delight, so i was well-conditioned to handle things. but, i did say that we were in search of something easy-going. there are tricks here. glow-in-the-dark trinkets given to illuminate secret concoctions also available from the menu. and the bathroom is stocked with mint chocolates, fortune cookies and mint-flavored life savers. if i remember correctly, we both ingested two drinks each. and yes, of course, traded sips of each other's selections. as luck would have it, all four drinks were very enjoyable and to our satisfaction, or exceeded expectations. one was full of eggs, pistachios and olive oil - enchanting! the human who saw to our delights was also our age.“

“The Mode is a bar located in downtown Boise, Idaho. The have various drink options, and they are surrounded by other bars, clubs, and restaurants. Indoor and outdoor seating are available, as well as restrooms, and the interior was very nicely decorated. The staff were very helpful. We entered and were told we could choose our seating, then were provided with drink menus. We sat, reviewed the menus and had an employee come to us to take our order. They had unique options, such as my fiance's order of a Japanese Lager, as well as various wines, and more common options of an amaretto sour. When I asked about a couple of the wine options, the server actually provided me with three different shot glasses of wine to sample before I decided on a full glass. The Lager was not my preference, but my fiance seemed to like it, and my friend's amaretto sour was delicious! My wine was also quite good. We sat outdoors and, overall, had a lovely patio experience.“

“I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Percy yesterday when a friend and I, with our two dogs in tow stopped in for an early dinner on the patio. Having reserved an outdoor table, the staff was so wonderfully accommodating of our pets and us, seating us where we could easily keep our distance from another table in the event other dogs were present. The hostess immediately brought a water bowl for the pups, which was really appreciated. Our waiter, Tristen was attentive, friendly and offered useful guidance with the many choices on the menu. We ordered the braised short ribs dinner and the ahi tuna. Both were excellent and I'm looking forward to next time to try another yummy dish! The prices are pretty steep, particularly for the wine so prepare for some expense, but for an early evening's dinner in an outdoor setting, I can't think of another patio that's nicer. The Percy's faces north, so the building shades the whole patio and 4th is a fairly quiet street thus conversations weren't ever interrupted by traffic noises.“

“The food and overall atmosphere was great for Sunday brunch, but apparently they employ a DJ to play music on Sundays during brunch which is so loud, it was extremely difficult to carry on a conversation let alone enjoy your meal. My ears are still ringing. My friend and I weren’t the only people in the restaurant requesting the volume to be decreased. Brunch should be a relaxing atmosphere, not feeling like you are at a night club….“

“The food is very good. We have tried pizza and salads and both were fresh and very tastey. The on-line ordering is horrible. Yesterday we placed a to go order at 3 pm and was told that it would not be ready to pick up until 7 pm, 4 hours later. That is not unusual and sometimes they stop on-line ordering several hours before closing. They either need more ovens, a better system or discontinue take out orders because on-line ordering for take out is very frustrating and annoying.“

“One of favorite places too dine. Sorry no pics. Never think of it until too late. I had the Pho with short ribs. First time ordering. I usually try something different each time. The short rib melted in your mouth. It is a fusion Asian establishment so aside from sounding contradictory, it isn’t what I would consider authentic Pho. If you don’t smell like pho for a day or two, than I consider it American friendly. 🤓. It was still delicious and fresh ingredients. My wife has her staple Kao Sao (so?). Very tasty. The fresh rolls were also extremely fresh. Toffey (sp?) our hostess was awesome. She spent time with us discussing the menu and the chefs talents which we know first hand. Emily, our waitress was attentive and prompt and provided excellent service. We have never had a bad meal or service here.“

The place was packed and we were able to find a nice spot for our large group. The servers were really nice and took good care of us.“
