“Worst birthday meal I’ve ever had. We ordered Riblets for everyone and they were burnt to the bone. The service was great so I didn’t complain because i didn’t want to ruin the night out. Afterwards I wished I did..I found out the next day
wife and sister both got sick that night. “
“The Sapphire Room, enveloped in a dark, intimate ambiance, offered a mesmerizing evening, particularly accentuated by the live performance of the Apollo Trio, whose jazzy melodies permeated the space, creating a vibrant yet cozy environment. The soft, sapphire-hued lighting gently illuminated the room, crafting a serene and somewhat enchanting backdrop to our night. While our initial visit only allowed us to explore the drinks and dessert, owing to a pre-show dinner elsewhere, the menu hinted at a world of culinary delights that piqued our interest. Our shared Crème Brûlée cheesecake was a delightful endnote, harmonizing creamy and caramelized flavors in a decadent dance on our palates. As we observed the hearty, seemingly sumptuous portions being served to neighboring tables, we mentally bookmarked a future dinner at this venue. The small, inviting dance floor, nestled amidst the tables, offered a spirited space for patrons to immerse themselves in the rhythmic beats, becoming one with the music. The Sapphire Room, with its blend of live, soulful music, and a promising menu, not only provided a feast for our ears but also teased a future culinary adventure that we eagerly anticipate exploring during subsequent visits. A truly charming venue for an immersive, melodious evening.“

“Wyld Child really attracts the trendy group of people in Boise, it’s definitely one of the check in spots for travelers. But that doesn’t mean it’s a flashy place, it does offer good quality food and have great stylish vibe for both indoors and outdoors. It also shares outdoor dining spaces with STIL and Push & Pour, you can enjoy drinks and ice creams after devouring their burgers. The only maybe downside is it’s a little noisy there, so if you enjoy a peaceful dining environment, maybe it’s not for you.“

“I have to give Dylan credit amazing server in a lot of fun. We had some strange cheese appetizer that I would’ve literally thousand pieces of if I could get away with it. My main course was fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. I find myself eating a lot of the bread too. Lol please please please very great option for lunch. Affordable how are you my company? Enjoy the side salad with soup and I really had to tell you, you should order the nitro cold brew with cream if you need to wake yourself up. Again, compliments to the service, and the amazing layout of this restaurant I’ve been away from Boise for 15 years, in a very pleased to see some of the new additions as well as an eagle Cheers! Thanks again !“

“So much bacon! It was lunch and there was a line. One of the servers came and took our drink order while we were in line. The line goes to the counter in back where you order. We sat at the bar. Especially good are their bacon bloody Mary's!“

The fries are incredible and did not have room for a shake but our neighbour beside us had one and looked fabulous, he ate it all! 🖤 If you get a chance to go do it you won’t regret it! “As someone that spent nearly 20 years behind a bar in some aspect or another, it was refreshing to see a bartender excel at customer service. I find this to be a rarity in the service industry in this era, and Alexa knocked it out of the park. She not only was attentive to my requests, but I watched her manage a damn near full bar of dinner guests ordering drinks and food with no stress. It probably helps that her barback was on his game as well. Great job to these two and the management of this establishment. I will return during my travels through Boise.“

“Great place for a date night, we went to celebrate our anniversary which happens to be a couple of days before Valentine’s Day. We choose Crave as a suggestion from friends Ana family and because it had the red romantic vibe (we thought). The lights outside weren’t red like the photo, they’re blue, I think maybe they alternate colors? We ordered a couple of drinks, spinach & artichoke dip, short rib dumplings, oysters on a half shell, lobster crab roll, Thai steak and noodles. Everything was good, except the dumplings which were a bit doughy for my taste. Overall I can see why this is such a popular Eagle restaurant. They’re good for a lot of different occasions.“

“July 10th, my wife & I "happened" into discovering The SpringHouse At The Merc for her birthday meal/lunch. AB-SO-LUTE-LY the BEST dining experience we have had in years. Friendliest staff, manager & owner we have ever met in Idaho (36 years of dining, here). Five-star food. Best BIRTHDAY date we have ever had. THEY are our new "go-to" for special dates and event meals. Boom Shaka Laka! ✔✔✔❤❤❤“
“Right downtown Boise. This is not a hotel any longer. However, they are in the progress of building a beautiful boutique hotel on site. They have apartments in half, updated and beautiful, and business in half. A wonderful restaurant called the Tavern with great food. A salon on half of the main floor, with 26 micro private salons inside. The Owyhee management is great to work with. Highly recommend it“

“Service Dog Friendly, very great atmosphere with pleasant blues type music. I was seated right away and the service was excellent. Captain’s rum with a view drink tasted great. I also ordered the Shrimp Linguini Scampi: Spanish Style Scampi with Green Onions and Crushed Red Pepper and it was the best I have ever tasted. Then to finish off got the chocolate cake. Highly recommend this place!“

“We sat on the patio which was a delight - the patio is beautifully decorated with plenty of flowers. The food was great, the patio was great. The server was nice, just a bit difficult to find when something was needed. The only thing I wouldn't order again would be the frose. It was simply a fruit ice cube with rose poured over - not like any frose I've ever had before.“

“We love Culver’s! So friendly to vegetarians—Their veggie burger is amazing, messy and filling. Their kids meals are awesome with the ticket idea to save up for a big prize a kid can choose in the case. My daughter just loves collecting the soccer balls, footballs and plushies! The crew there is mostly high functioning special needs but they rarely have food quality issues and are pretty timely getting all the food ready.
Their salads all come with meat but if you ask for no meat it will deduct about $2.50 from the cost. This is a perk other places don’t do!! Also, their custards are pretty good. I was there daily sometimes with my pregnancy hormones but as a family, we enjoy Culver’s about twice a month. The only downside is that they charge for extra sauces like Ranch or BBQ. There seems to be something for everyone here! Definitely recommend.“
“We had a great dinner at Harvey’s! My boyfriend’s parents live in BanBury and we have never seen it so packed on a Friday night. There were a lot of new staff training and they handled it exceptionally. Our food was wonderful, I can’t complain about a single thing. We are picky drinkers and they accommodated every request. Shoutout to our server (I wish I remembered her name but she was cute and had dark dark hair) and shoutout to the chef for getting all of our orders out correctly and tasting fantastic. 10/10 tonight guys ✌️“

“This is such a wonderful place to work. We took so much pride in everything we did. The food is amazing. This was without a doubt my favorite place of employment. The owners treated us all like family. I would not only recommend dining here, I would also recommend applying for a job! I met so many beautiful people and Red Feather, Bittercreek and Diablo will always hold a very special place in my heart!“

“Hands down the best DFAC I've ever been to. The food is cooked with care and always good, the staff is friendly and professional, and the hours are good. Despite being in a temporary location, the building is clean and we'll maintained. I highly recommend this DFAC to any soldiers training here. 10/10“
“If you only choose Marriot properties like I do (Platinum Elite) then this hotel is probably the 2nd best option in Boise with the top spot going to the newer Residence Inn that's right Downtown. This Courtyard is only a couple of blocks from the beautiful river and its awesome miles long walkways. There's also a large park across the street and the University is a ten minute walk away. My wife and I went for a late night stroll along the river and that's one of the reasons I love Boise: it felt completely safe even though it was close to Midnight! In the morning we strolled along the river again and then to the awesome little Downton, it's probably no more than 15 minutes to Downtown proper if you take the most direct route (by foot I mean, it would be a two minute drive!). The hotel itself is older but appears to be recently renovated. We were fortunate enough to have a two room king suite that was actually two connecting rooms. One with a comfortable king bed and its own bathroom, the other with a living room and another bathroom. The suite was odd in that there was a large area that was clearly meant for a kitchenette complete with kitchen cupboards but it only had a small fridge. The room was nice enough but we had to keep the curtains closed as it was ground floor and literally the parking lot was directly by our windows with cars just a few feet away. That being said, we probably only got that floor because we asked for an upgrade and showed up at 10pm. As would be expected, there is a beautiful courtyard with a ton of nice seating options. We noticed all of the rooms facing the courtyard had either balconies or patios and next time I'd forego a suite in favour of one of these rooms. The only fail as this hotel was the Bistro. As a Platinum member you get $10 food credit per night per person for up to two people so we had $20 to spend. The breakfast options were extremely limited and although not crazy expensive by 4 star standards, very pricey for an order at the counter kind of place. Almost nothing sounded appetizing but my "loaded tater Tots" (they were covered in bacon and cheese) were decent. My wife's toasted bagel came still cold and wasn't much better after it came out of the kitchen a second time, it also didn't come with the cream cheese on it but instead came with a packet with a plastic knife to spread it. Weirdly, my breakfast came with real cutlery. I'd stay here again for the excellent location but would skip the Bistro next time.“

“Our wedding reception at The Lively Boise was an absolute dream come true. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for a perfect lunch. The ambiance of the restaurant was elegant yet inviting. The Staff at The Lively were attentive and professional, ensuring that every detail was meticulously taken care of. The food was simply exquisite. From the hors d'oeuvres to the main course and desserts, each dish was expertly prepared and presented with flair by Executive Chef Edward Higgins. Our guests raved about the quality and taste, and many commented that it was some of the best food they've had at a wedding. What impressed us most was the personalized service we received. The team at The Lively, specially the Director of Event Sales Missy Goode from the moment we first inquired until our wedding day, Missy has been nothing short of exceptional. Her dedication to ensuring our wedding day was extra special was truly amazing. Missy's top-notch professionalism and unwavering support made a significant difference throughout the planning process. I highly recommend The Lively Boise, especially thanks to Missy's invaluable assistance. The server who assisted us that day, Grace, was incredibly helpful, accommodating, and reassuring. She ensured that every aspect of our experience, from food to drinks, was of the highest standard. Her attention to detail and friendly demeanor truly made our day unforgettable. Grace's exceptional service was nothing short of wonderful. Overall, our experience at The Lively Boise exceeded our expectations in every way. It was more than just a meal—it was an unforgettable dining experience that added to the magic of our wedding day. We are immensely grateful to the entire team at The Lively Boise for their dedication and expertise in making our celebration truly exceptional. We would highly recommend The Lively Boise to anyone looking for a venue that offers outstanding cuisine, impeccable service, and a memorable atmosphere for their special day.“

“Here’s a polished review you could use for Diablo and Sons: Review for Diablo & Sons We had a fantastic experience at Diablo and Sons! The customer service was top-notch—Jess, the manager, was incredibly attentive and welcoming, and Jill, our new server, did a wonderful job making sure we were taken care of. There were a few minor delays, but that’s to be expected on a beautiful Saturday evening out on the patio. The atmosphere made up for it, and the drinks were absolutely on point. We tried the Bloody Mary, a couple of Hemingways, margaritas, and the Dusty Trail—all were excellent and expertly crafted. For dinner, we went with the spicy chicken sandwiches, fish and chips, and skirt steak tacos. Every dish was flavorful and well-prepared. The spicy chicken had the perfect kick, and the tacos were a definite standout. Looking forward to our next visit already! Highly recommend for a relaxed vibe, great drinks, and excellent service.“

“Had breakfast this morning at at The Chef's Hut. I had no idea this restaurant was even here. I must say it was such a great experience. Loved the atmosphere, and the decorations were so cool. Wait staff was on point, our coffee was always full. Food came out quickly even though the place was busy. I had the eye opener for breakfast and I must say it was some of the best biscuits and gravy I have had. The rest of the food was top notch as well. If you want great food do yourself a favor and head to The Chef's Hut, you won't be disappointed. 10 out of 10.“

“The Local ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Local in Boise is “a neighborhood Eatery and Wine Pub, offering live music and rotating artists.” They also have a dog, friendly patio and a Dog menu. MW and I visited during Happy Hour, which is Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 5 PM. We ordered a mix of items off of the happy hour menu and the regular menu. We started with Hurricane Popcorn - A Hawaiian favorite - with Nori Furikaki and Japanese rice crackers. It was very flavorful and unlike any popcorn I’ve ever had before. This is a unique menu items The Local is known for. We ordered two side Caesar salads. I like that it had homemade croutons, but it needed a little more more dressing. We shared an order of Carnitas Street Tacos, to which we added 1 extra taco. The pork was tender, but the tacos were pretty bland. We shared an order of Smash Sliders - 3 smash burgers using our own custom burger blend from Porterhouse in Eagle, with classic American cheese. They were tasty. Unfortunately, I forgot to get a photo! We shared two desserts: Berry Crisp - Blackberry cobbler topped with vanilla ice cream. The berry crisp was excellent! Crème Brûlée - Simple and delicious vanilla crème brulee. The crème brûlée was good, but not great. The texture wasn’t as creamy as it should’ve been. We visited early on a weekday, so we didn’t get to hear any live music, but we pretty much had the place to ourselves until towards the end of our visit. Overall, the food was good, but not great. However, they do have a bigger menu than most wine bars and they allow dogs on the patio. The Dog Menu looks excellent! The Local has a nice Wine Menu, as well as several local beers on tap. If you’re looking for a nice wine bar with a neighborhood pub vibe, The Local is worth considering. I would like to return and try their Pepe’s Famous Fish Tacos. The pictures of their flatbread look excellent too. * The Local is wheelchair accessible. Recommended!“
