“My fiancé and I went here this last weekend for the first time to splurge and have a nice meal. This place definitely met our expectations. The service was great and every seat was filled in the restaurant. They have a nice open format. You can’t see the kitchen, but you can see just about everything else. It feels a little dated inside, but the black curtains on the windows make it feel intimate and not like you’re in a shopping mall/plaza.
First items we got were the margherita pizza and the zucchini fritters. The pizza was ok. The dough was nice and fresh, but it was almost like it was too close between a thin crispy cracker crust and a light fluffy dough. It was light and crispy, but almost firm and chewy.
The zucchini fritters were amazing. 1000% the best thing we had. They came with a whipped ricotta that had herbs mixed in. They weren’t oily at all and still had a delicious crispiness to them that still felt light even though it was fried. They were seasoned extremely well.
For the main course we got two pastas. One was the zozzana that was tomato sauce with guanciale, homemade Italian sausage, pecorino, and Italian peppers. It would probably be on the spicier side for most people, but it was perfect for me. The sauce was creamy, salty, spicy and delicious. The guanciale was cooked well and didn’t become soggy too. Still had a nice crunch around the crispy bits.
My fiancé got the carbonara and it was good, but tasted very buttery in my opinion. She really liked it though. The guanciale was really nice again and served as a perfect component to mix up textures.
For dessert we got a cappuccino, espresso and the tiramisu. Some tiramisus are extremely sweet, but this was perfectly balanced, especially with the coffees. Just don’t inhale when you take a bite or the cocoa powder on top might turn into the old cinnamon challenge. The cocoa powder on top balanced the richness of the whipped cream and sweetness of the rest of the dessert.
We also got a bottle of cab sav that was reasonably priced and complimented our entire meal.
Individual entrees:
Margherita Pizza: 6.5
Zucchini Fritters: 9.5
Carbonara: 7
Zozanna: 8.25
Tiramisu: 8
Food: 8 (rounded up because the wine was good)
Atmosphere: 7.5
Service: 9“

“Had a fabulous dinner starting with the calamari and a charcuterie board. Our main dishes included the cacciuco (seafood stew), tagliatelle with bolognese and tortioli pasta with hazelnut pesto, carmelized pearl onions and local roasted assorted mushrooms. For dessert we shared the chocolate tiramisu. Everything was outstanding and the service was excellent. Definitely would recommend!“

“Ti Amo Ti Amo! Loved everything from start to finish. We arrived at 830p and was worried because they close at 9p but the welcome was warm, the service throughout was fabulous - no one rushed us, they gave just the right amount of attention, the food was delicious and good proportions at reasonable prices. We had calamari, olive tapenade, flatbread, chicken masala, pizza, gnocchi. I wish we took pictures but we ate eagerly and there was nothing left. I did do a takeout order of tiramisu and snapped photo. Best tiramisu I've had in a long time. A must try if you're in Boise!“

“We had such a great experience here! The place has a great, open floor plan that feels inviting. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. I'm recently sober, and was delighted with the mocktail options!! The crimson cooler was delightful! We shared the burrata and it was decadent! I had the Bucatini Carbonara and it was fantastic, with plenty left over to enjoy again at home! Definitely adding this place to my go-to list!“

“We visited Margherita Pizza for the first time tonight. Seeing a wood fired oven in a pizza restaurant is a good first sign. A friendly, personable staff is the second. Tasting a fresh salad, refreshing Italian soda, and delicious pizza (in a style very similar to what we had in Italy) sealed the deal for us! They just gained two more loyal customers.“

“we are visiting from Utah for a few days. we randomly chose to go to Romio's for dinner. what a great choice! we ordered Greek platter. there was enough food there for two of us. our food came out to us nice and hot and absolutely delicious! we were so full that we had to take our tiramisu to go. our waiter was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. we highly recommend Romio's. we' ll be back the next time we come to Boise. “Late lunch. Had hot Italian Stromboli and Strozzapreti. For the Stromboli, think Calzone. It was spicy and delicious. The other dish was chicken with pasta, mushrooms, chicken and a white sauce. I just had some that was left over and it is great. They also have a thorough wine list and spirits. Will go again.“

“Love the Fettuccini Alfredo, the best I’ve had in the valley. Disclaimer, I haven’t tried them all, yet. The fresh bread is a great touch. My wife has loved the dishes she has tried too. We went early on a week night and got right in. It not a big place so if it’s a weekend or peak time you might want to consider a reservation.“

“Probably my favorite spot in Meridian to have a drink. Their espresso martini is the best in the valley. And they make a fantastic old-fashioned.
Their flatbeds are fantastic, but I really love their Bolognese. Trust me on this, it’s an amazing Italian dish.
The staff here is great, I’ve gotten to know them well. They treat you well and it truly feels like friends.“

“while I love Uncle Bob's probably should have prepared for the Halloween rush better. I ordered at 2:30 for pick up at 5:15, got there and was told it would be an additional 20 to 30 minutes. I did feel bad for the staff because people were angry. Just a suggestion for next year!“

“Our server made a great recommendation on the leek and mushroom pasta with the addition of steak, it was an unexpected and delightful pairing! I was underwhelmed with the cliche art and seating. The table next us felt bad and kept trying to be more than quiet because it was so close and you couldn’t help overhearing a conversation, we eventually just made jokes about it and helped them celebrate their night. We enjoyed the food and unexpected guests, but it felt rushed and too quick for a date night.“

“It was our second time visiting here last night. To celebrate birthday! Their pizza was absolutely phenomenal! Definitely authentic Italian style! Thin and crispy crust. Even the simplest topping tasted so good! The salad we ordered came with thin seasoned bread. We enjoyed every bite of that salad. Then our pizza came. One rich topping and one simple topping. Perfect balanced! Tonny was quietly preparing our food in the back under chill jazz. Just like he was cooking in his home, preparing food for his friends. Had his own chill flow back there! Greeted us with smile as we were walking out. Our server was also super nice and sweet! I really hope this place can stay here forever! Already can see it’ll hold so much of my happy memories in the future! Thank you guys!“

“Not a bad choice!! If you're in a bus, truck trailer, or any other big rig, you're screwed for parking. There is 1 spot on the side of the road you can park a bus or similarly sized vehicle, but it seems that employees park in it.“

“I never understand why this place isn’t busier. They have a fantastic happy hour menu. All the servers are so friendly and welcoming. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere. They have a lovely patio. Every kid gets a full cup of crayons and some coloring books. They have a little arcade room. It’s a great place to bring your family. My kids love the build your own pizza. I’m a huge fan of the mozzarella sticks (I love how thin they are and there’s a good crunch) and the vegetable Alfredo. The portions are huge.“

“I ordered a special for $25. It was an extra pepperoni pizza, large and a 2-liter for $25. I did carry out and placed it for 6:45-7pm pickup because it was 6pm and I was doing uber but needed to feed my family! The food was super fresh and ready at 6:45pm. It looked absolutely amazing. I have ordered here a total of 8 times in the last 5 months and have not been disappointed once. I have always lived by Chicago connection being the absolutely best pizza ever due to there sauce being thick and cheese being thick, all pizzas being a deep dish, it’s amazing! It’s mine and my families favorite pizza 🍕 the woman at the front counter was super nice and friendly. I had already paid online so she just got my pizza and I got my two liter and skedaddled. This Chicago connection isn’t ever busy when I go in so there wasn’t a wait but the pizza is 100% worth it!“

“Was my first time in today. First off, when walking in was greeted by the owner and as soon as I heard his accent I immediately went back to the sandwich shops my grandpa used to take me to in New Jersey. Second, this is the first shop that has made a Philly cheesesteak like they do in Philadelphia. 10 out of 10. I’m definitely going back there as soon as possible“
