“Raw Dead Fish is SO good! The best sushi! Sometimes I try other places because of hours or convenience… but it never fails… I miss RDF when I do. Their sushi is generously proportioned, excellent quality and firmness and freshness! And the service is always the best! They go out of the way to make sure my order is gluten free (not cross contaminated) and so delicious!!!“

“What a pleasant surprise for sushi on Sherman! Given this is North Idaho, sushi options are limited and not all that great. Kaiju did a great job even if a White chick was making the rolls. The service Ajay provided was top-notch as well. The only negative (for me) was that the fish atop the rolls should have been cold, not room temperature, almost warm, and the rolls should be rolled tighter. Regardless, I'm looking forward to my next visit and many more.“

“Update: years later, we've been coming to shiki on and off for a while more times than I can count. I will say that it is very hit or miss. We waited about 30 mins, prepare to wait on a weekend. Sometimes the staff just seems overwhelmed and food comes out at inconsistent times. Like our edamame came out right before our food instead of first. Sometimes the food doesn't all come together. I still love their rolls the best out of anywhere local, especially if you like cooked rolls, but wish it was more consistent. And I do not recommend to go rolls as they can be very soggy.

This is our 3rd visit to Shiki and I have to say that we love it there. Great location, vibe, service, and most importantly great food. The spicy edamame is amazing and the best edamame I've had. The Scorpion roll and Walla Walla roll are awesome and almost every roll that we've had there has been very yummy. Also the fried rice with the seafood in it is amazing. We have had the same server almost every time and he is very attentive and nice. Super cool downtown location and nice decor. I definitely recommend Shiki.“
