“Stopped here for a quick lunch and was very pleased. Food was fresh and absolutely delicious. I had the pork tamale with the Mexican rice and it was amazing. Super flavorful and very filling for a great price. Staff was friendly and had great suggestions when we weren't quite sure what to try. 5/5 in all categories.“

“We had this wonderful business cater our wedding this year and oh my goodness!!! It was DELICIOUS! I also had them previously at the drive in where they catered during covid times and it was delicious then too! These guys are so kind and nice and absolutely worth trying!!“

“Holy, WOW! I’ve been craving some good taco truck food (my regular truck was gone and I’m super picky!) googled and saw this truck & this place does NOT disappoint. My hubby & I got the spicy pork tacos, green chicken enchiladas, & pollo a la crema! The smell when we got them was the first hint of how amazing they are! I saw them preparing the food and they were super busy/but still very clean, & still only had maybe a 4-5minute wait! The spice is perfect! The salsas are amazing! Again, I love my Mexican food! So if you’re looking for a great food truck that you can even eat INSIDE on a cold day, try this place! You won’t be disappointed! Super nice staff! Definitely will be making this a regular stop! 👏🏼“

“The food is so good, I asked if they could cook for a retirement party! The owners helped me refine my order for the number of attendees and had it all ready to go the day of the event. I ordered two trays of meat, a tray each of rice and beans, tortillas and salsas. We fed 35+ people and sent folks home with leftovers. Everyone raved and said they’d be visiting CalaKas on their own! Thank you guys so much for making this party easy and memorable!!!“

“Family owned and operated. Great food, good laughs and a satisfying feeling of having eaten the best cárnitas in the west. Their food is ? from Michoacan, and although there are many other good alternatives in Idaho Falls, these guys have 30 years consistently making delicious food daily. Top favorite are the weekend Menudo and Carnitas, mulitas, tacos, and don't forget the flan!
The downside, the line to order, usually wraps around the building an 1hr before opening, the space is small and eat-in is very limited.“

“I have been in Idaho Falls for almost two months now and I never expected to find a taco food truck!

The employees were great. I was greeted and I could tell they love their job. Super nice and pleasant.

I got the 3 Quesabirria with consome. Consome is the flavorful liquid that the meat cooks in, for those who aren't aware. The Quesabirria tacos were fantastic. The meat was incredibly tender.

I ordered a side of fries for my daughter. They weren't like the ordinary fries you would get at a fast food restaurant. These seemed like they were homemade. My daughter wasn't the biggest fan of these, sadly.

They had coolers nearby with toppings for the tacos. In a smaller cooler they have different types of salsas. I didn't get to try the salsa this time around but maybe next time!

I will certainly be coming back to try more of the menu items. I highly recommend coming here if you are in the area!“

“Overall the Union Market is a great place buy familiar latino products, find a variety of meats and even eat some good food. However, it does need some work in the restaurant/food court area, cleanliness, and organizations. Perhaps, an upgrade is due.“

“My absolute favorite restaurant in SE Idaho. Been going there for over 40 years I think. Sarkis if I spelled that correctly was my then husband and I favorite waiter and he knew without us opening the menus what we wanted. Their enchiladas are perfect. But rice n beans perfect as well. My favorite all time drink is a margarita on ice. OMG haven’t had one in several years. Or a meal. Divorce does that. Enjoy everyone!“

“RICHARD made our ordering in the drive through of Taco Time such a Positive experience! Richard is the best part of Idaho for us weary travelors. He made a typically frustrating experience so Fun and HEElarious...my hubby can NOT speak clearly due to a fight with stage 4 cancer, so i often have to yell the order in from the passenger side of the vehicle. Richard understood both of us, made us laugh and made us feel so welcome to Taco Time! Pay this Man MORE, he is soon going to appear on Comedy Central if the world is lucky! “If I’m being honest, the first time I ate here was absolutely terrifying!! I’ve never been yelled at or watched a manager yell at paying customers like that.
That being said, I have heard that this place has great food and a nostalgic 90’s vibe so I decided to give it one more try and I am so glad that I did! The service was quick and the food was pretty good.
