“Absolutely loved our experience at Puerto Vallarta Tex-Mex! We came in with a table of 8 and were blown away by how fast, friendly, and attentive the service was. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, and the staff was on it—our cups never even made it to half full before someone was offering refills. Seriously impressive. The food? 🔥 Across the board. We had the chimichangas, charro beans with bacon and cilantro (SO good), the macho burrito, the El Gayo burrito, and enchiladas—every single dish was flavorful, fresh, and generously portioned. What really sealed the deal was that the owner personally came over to check on us. Such a genuine, kind guy—it made the experience feel even more special and welcoming. “Visited for lunch today, with each person getting a different type of dish. We are really big foodies and usually get let down by restaurant foods. Not today. Every single item on every plate was perfect. The entrees, the sides, the glazes, dressings, everything was perfect. I had the Gyro, which was to die for - and the family had the salmon, a gluten free palate burger and macaroni and cheese for the kid. We have never had a better meal anywhere. I cannot wait to come back next time we’re in town.“

“This is a great food truck to grab some interesting and delicious food, drinks and snacks. The owner alternates locations between across the street from the Casino at the Shoban Museum (also worth a visit) on Wednesdays from 12-5, and Pocatello and Blackfoot with hours from 12-7. I got the smothered tamales and an aqua fresca for $10.50 and tried an Ube Horchata which was delicious. The three tamales were green Chile and pork with just the right amount of heat and topped with avocado cream, lettuce and tomato and it was very good. Also wanted to try the birria tacos and some of the fresh fruit options, but I couldn't finish the tamales. No seating at the museum location, but as a to go place would highly recommend.“
