My husband and I came up for his birthday weekend, and I booked a table online - easy to do and followed up with a phone call to make sure we got a table with a lake view. Cutwater delivered hugely - got table right next to the lake, had a great appetizer of potato croquettes, wonderful mains of the ribeye and halibut (slightly overcooked to my liking but nice and flaky), and the strawberry roulade for dessert. Great experience although due to staff shortage the timing was off. Had great lakeside view and the King Salmon was outstanding.
I finally tried this restaurant. It’s located in the Shore Lodge. We went for lunch with a couple of friends. Service was very slow. The waiter didn’t get the order correct and then my friend got her salad right when we were done eating. She ended up taking it home. Food was good but very expensive. My french dip sandwich cost 32 dollars because I said yes to onions and mushrooms. Crazy! Avoid extras. Not worth the price.

While the atmosphere can be hit or miss, the Cutwater remains a fantastic place to enjoy a drink and a meal while taking in the stunning scenery, with highlights like the bang bang cauliflower and the wagyu burger.
