Java Blue Lakes Reviews
Wonderful options for food and drinks! Everything we ordered was fantastic and the service was spectacular as well
The best coffee! I have been going there for over 20 years! 2 stops in Twin Falls and 1 stop in Boise. They use real grated chocolate, not chocolate syrups. The coffee is smooth. Try their signature Bowl of soul or white bowl of soul! Perfect pastries, delicious breakfast items!
My favorite coffee spot for over 15 years!

Java Blue Lakes is a popular restaurant known for its delicious food and excellent service. The "Java Benedict" and "Bowl of Soul" dishes are customer favorites, and the restaurant gladly accommodates special requests. Java Blue Lakes is recognized for its great coffee, including a highly-regarded mocha. The staff has demonstrated integrity and kindness, such as safely keeping a lost debit card for its owner. The restaurant offers many healthy food options and is accommodating to dietary restrictions. It also provides a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, catering to young guests' preferences.
Customers praise the morning crew for their amazing coffee-making skills, though some have expressed frustration with the afternoon staff's inconsistency in preparing drinks. The restaurant is described as the "closest thing to an Aussie Cafe," with great coffee, food, and a cool, knowledgeable staff. One customer's wife, who is an amazing cook and baker, was "in heaven" at Java Blue Lakes, appreciating the clean, real ingredients used in the food and drinks.
Recently, visitors have enjoyed quick breakfast options like the breakfast burrito, which is large, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. The burrito is well-made, with a side of pico de gallo, though some found the sour cream a bit messy to eat. Pastries are fresh and soft, with a massive peanut butter cookie receiving high praise. The coffee selection is excellent, and even the fresh-looking orange juice, though not freshly squeezed, was delicious and had some pulp, satisfying cravings. The cozy vibes, ample seating, and book borrowing section make it a great place to relax. The clean, themed bathrooms add to the positive experience. Service is friendly and efficient, with staff working well together during busy times. Many visitors look forward to trying more menu items and drinks on future visits.
People come here for coffee and quick bites, often taking food to-go, especially before flights. The espresso drinks are highly praised, with the Mexican Mocha standing out as a favorite, made with real Mexican chocolate, homemade cream, and cinnamon. The breakfast burrito is large and tasty, though some prefer ordering it with regular sour cream due to the spiced version being a bit hot. The ambiance inside is inviting, and outdoor tables are also relaxing. A vegetable hummus sandwich on wheat, packed carefully with salty potato chips, is a popular to-go lunch that holds up well after hours. Overall, the food is consistently tasty and fresh, though many visitors mainly enjoy the coffee. The atmosphere captures the classic coffee shop vibe, making it a perfect spot to meet friends or relax with a good drink.
