“First time here, seated immediately. Spacious inside plenty of tables and seating options, booths, tables, bars side. Server was very attentive and made multiple rounds of refilling coffee, the portion was big I got the spicy flamingo it was good and prices are reasonable.“

“The Prairie Café in Elmhurst is one of those rare gems hidden in plain sight. The husband-and-wife team are so amazing, we go out of our way once a year to when we are in Chicago to go there for breakfast. Mimi in the front of the house remembers what we like to the person for all five of us. The prices are on the low side and the portions generous. Two things stand out though the repartee with Mimi tops the list, but the nuanced flavors bring back memories of how my mother made it. Eating here is more than getting a great breakfast at a good price, it’s a step back, in time and attitude. It is a full-on experience. “Hi View will always hold a special place in my heart. My husband has been taking me here for nearly 10 years, and he has been going since long before that. I’ve never had a dish here I don’t like. My favorite things from here are the soups (specifically the cream of chicken rice and French Onion) and the chopped steak breakfast with chocolate chip pancakes. Their pancakes are the BEST ever and I swear by that.
The servers are extremely kind and always interact with regulars. When I was on a liquid diet prior to and after abdominal surgery, they were kind enough to strain soups for me so I could still have something to enjoy. They take care of you like family and that’s why I’ll always support Hi View.

“We have ordered from mugs 3 times. Everytime was delicious. Fast delivery too. Gluten free pizza crust is the best my special lady friend has had! Potato skins ,ribs ,chicken.are excellent. Also have a great gyro. And Kevin is friendly and very helpful. Plus they're open late if you get hungry late at night! We will definitely order food from mugs again“
