“It's been a year since we have been back to highland. We made it a priority to come back to the Wooden Tie and they didn't disappoint us one bit! Took a group of six around 5 pm. We were seated right away. Service was excellent even with the increase of customers. Brisket was the main item but wraps and chicken nuggets were also ordered. Awesome home made chips. The vegetable medley is a must have! Side salads are well put together. We ordered giant pretzel sticks with a really tasty cheese sauce. Many more items to try but it is a must go to place every time we come back. Great food! Great people! And not too hard on your wallet!”

“Tracy and Callie do an incredible job of fostering community at this bar. Not only are the brewed beers incredible, but all cocktails and mocktails are top notch and the rotating guest beers means there's always something to enjoy. We love going for trivia, open mic night, or anytime there's music. We always know there will be a friendly face and good conversations because there's no TVs to turn the crowd into zombies. The patio is welcoming, and the inside is cozy and extremely clean. If I could give more than a 100% rating I would. I feel so fortunate to have such a good small-town bar in this community.”

“The lemon meringue pie I had yesterday rates one star. There was no crust! Just filling.8$! Give me a brake, I advise you to watch them cut it in front of you at the counter. To make sure it's all there& you get what your paying for. The apple pie was excellent as usual!”

“wish there was a maybe recomemd button.. Same teen boy every time we visit, and unfortunately, the same issue each time. Our first visit, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and received a BLT. On the second visit, I specifically ordered a bacon cheeseburger plain — only bacon and cheese — but by my third bite, it was full of ketchup, mustard, and pickles. Today was our third visit, and I ordered two chili dogs with no cheese (I even repeated it twice). Yet both came out covered in cheese. This could be serious if someone was not able to have something or allergic. The first time, I thought maybe he was new. The second time, I was having a rough day and tried to laugh it off. But this time, we were on a time crunch, and having to wait for the order to be remade was really frustrating. I truly don’t like to complain because the food itself is great — the strawberry milkshakes and ice cream are amazing, and the rest of the menu is usually really good. But the service has been consistently poor every time we’ve come. It’s hard to believe ours is the only order that’s been rung up wrong. Either this young man needs more training, shouldn’t be on the register, or maybe just isn’t a good fit for that position. We’ve never been offered a refund, a remake without the wait, or even an apology — and that’s disappointing for an otherwise great place.”

“I have deemed Highland Scooters to be the best Scooters in the area. I have been to Greenville and Edwardsville Scooters and neither compare. Highland always has the best cooked and represented food out of those locations and they have never messed up my order.”

“Hard Dog cafe is a good place to get a bite to eat or an ice cold drink. You won’t go away hungry. The breakfast buffet is great. Eggs bacon sausage tater tots biscuits and gravy and fresh fruit and fresh made French toast. The service is amazing. Chad the owner takes pride in his business and it shows. The outside of the building doesn’t reflect the very unique interior decor. It’s one of those places that no matter how many times you go you will always see something different.”
