“Had the opportunty to stop in at the hidden Max-Boyd-s Hideout in Antioch recently, interesting place, decor and experience.

Located in Antioch, but off the beaten path, literally. a few blocks off of Grass Lake Road is the Hideout, not far away from any of the Chain of Lakes.

Weathered and worn, like a old leather jacket, if you are looking for an old school tavern style place, you should stop in.

Bring cash only, or use their ATM, indulge in their beer or drink selection while seated at the bar, table or play a Slot machine.

I enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich-fries or chips, which was delicious and flavorful.
I see they have ribs, burgers, fish frys and prime rib selections as well available.

The prohibition, Al Capone theme is a nice touch as well. Test your sense of adventure and stop in.”

“We’ve been enjoying Taco Tuesday at Mexican Paradise for the past few weeks, and every visit has been nothing short of fantastic. Brian, the owner, personally delivers food to tables and makes it a point to give every kid a high five and a ring pop before they leave. He and his wife are constantly moving through the restaurant, making sure every table is well taken care of while also connecting with their guests. The staff is friendly, attentive, and quick, and the food is always delicious with just the right portion sizes. Tonight, I noticed Brian taking the time to hold the door for an elderly woman and even walking her to her car to ensure she got there safely. Our waitress then informed us he does this every single night for his whole staff. 🥹 Dining at Mexican Paradise isn’t just about the food—it’s a full experience made with care, perfect for the whole family.”

“We love the food and dining at Oliveris’s but I have to tell you how wonderful the staff is. We have been having a pretty bad time lately. Our son had a stroke and may never walk again and my husband shattered his right hip. We had my husband’s birthday dinner at Oliveriis with some friends and my husband had a medical issue and Sal and the staff were so kind with helping me get him into the car. I do not think that any other Restaurant would have such amazing and helpful people working for them. Sal you are wonderful. Thank you again.”

“Szechwan Palace is a charming small Chinese restaurant in Antioch. Currently, the atmosphere is a bit disrupted due to ongoing construction, but it still retains a cozy and inviting feel.

Food: I have visited Szechwan Palace numerous times and always enjoy the food. The drunken noodles and egg rolls are my favorites. On my last visit, I tried the Kung Pao beef, which was quite good but could use a bit more wok flavor. The soup, while tasty, could benefit from a bit more spice and the addition of shiitake or Chinese mushrooms, a touch more sourness, ginger, a hint of sugar, and some rice vinegar to enhance its flavor.

Service: The service at Szechwan Palace is consistently very good. The staff are polite and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

Overall: Despite the current construction, Szechwan Palace remains a delightful spot for authentic Szechuan cuisine in Antioch. I look forward to returning and seeing the progress on the renovations and AUTHENTIC ASIAN FOOD !!!!!”

Though it did create a communication barrier being so loud, the staff remained calm and friendly. To make up for it, a gentleman passed out cookies to those in line. This location is very clean and you can tell the staff takes pride. Can’t wait to continue to make this our go to comfort food place!”

Also, they add on the little things I ask for, extra carmel topper or whip, without up charge. This Starbucks is by far been worth driving to than any other on surrounding areas. They don't skip on the taste, NO watering down like other ones I been to! Very happy! ?”
