“I placed an order in the drive-thru somewhere between 8-10am on Saturday 10/19. The 5 stars go to the crew members who made my food and to the young man who took my order. The food was accurately made and tasted good. The young man’s service was very pleasant.
However, the experience ended on an atrocious note. Krystal was working in the present window and never once even looked at me, did not greet me, did not thank me, nor did she wish me a good day. She was busy yelling (And I mean that literally. This is no exaggeration. Yelling at full volume) at the rest of the crew. Her entire body was turned away from the window and she was berating her coworkers horribly.Talk about destroying morale. Take a look at the cameras if you don’t believe me. She shoved my food and drink at me without even acknowledging my presence. One can only assume that all other customers in the drive-thru that day received the same “service.” There is no reason the customer should be providing better customer service than her. Customer facing positions require a certain level of skill, which she is clearly lacking.
The only position someone with her attitude should hold is overnight maintenance. She should not be working with the public or with anyone else for that matter. Krystal needs to be held to the same standard as the rest of her coworkers. She degrades not only the crew, but customers as well by treating them as if they don’t exist. The entire interaction was, very seriously, the worst I’ve ever had out of all the McDonald’s locations I’ve visited across the country.
I’ve managed an entire Guest Services department within a Hilton Hotel, and I’ve been Assistant Store Manager at a busy Starbucks location. I know what good customer service and hospitality looks like. This is not it.“
