12 Best Fast Food Restaurants in Mattoon

“Great quality, reasonably priced!“

“The chipotle Philly was delicious!“

“Getting my cobb salad fix! BEST “fast food “ salad anywhere! No junky white lettuce. I took my picture after I tore into it. 😋. Like the design of the building drive thru away from the dine- in patrons. Nice guy at the window.“

“Excellent service at Dairy Queen. The staff demonstrated professionalism, the food quality was consistent, and the environment was clean and comfortable. My Blizzard treat was made exactly as expected. A reliable and enjoyable dining experience.“

“I am wanting to write in giving a shout out of awesome customer service to the drive thru and front counter workers on this evenings visit. Larissa, Laura, Gabby, and the young man working with them made an inconvenient corporate policy with online ordering a pleasant experience. It is so nice to see great customer service still exists in a workforce that definitely lacks in that dept.“

“This is my favorite place in Mattoon since I get free food once or twice a month. They frequently mess up my order or give me somebody else's order. Since they can't take the food back they remake what I ordered plus I get whatever the other random thing they gave me for free.“

“The quality of our local steak and shakes have significantly improved along with the staff. Much cleaner, tastes better, and even seems more filling than it used to. On top of that the new company policies like banning microwaves, beef tallow for their fried goods, and grass fed beef for the burgers. It went downhill a while ago but I can definitely say it has done a complete 360 and has honestly been one of our families favorite quick fast food locations now. Definitely better than McDonald's.“

“Much MUCH better burgers than other big name fast food joints. The Wife loves the grilled chicken club sandwich but I still go for the double steak burgers because they are so good! The fries are excellent and be sure to get Freddy’s Fry Sauce, both for fries and on the burger. The Concretes are great which are frozen custard (vanilla or chocolate or mixed) plus your choice of candy or flavors… so good!!!“

“Amazing service. We love to go in to sit and relax. The place is always clean and food has always been fresh. If we have to wait for a couple minutes because they cook it fresh to order, I definitely think it's worth it. Also, the staff has always been friendly and helpful when my kids ask questions.“

“Went there on 1-8-26 for dinner. The boy that was working BY HIMSELF!! He was really busy with the counter, drive thru and door dash orders. He kept his cool the whole time and waited on customer with a great attitude. Was very proud of this young man.“

“Employees need to Listen! Ordered two new chalupa/taco things together and 2 Cantina Crispy Tacos only paid for the 1st two. So asked if we could still get them like we wanted to pay for them and was asked to drive all the way around again! No I'm good.“

“I love getting my Holiday pies and Lrg Caramel Frapee with 3 shots of extra caramel. I love how when they're absolutely fresh they taste just like fresh baked sugar cookies straight out of the oven. I love everything about my caramel Frapee. Service is super fast when using the online app and especially if you go there several times a day they get to know you as their regular. The price could be cheaper for sure. Ordering was so simple I did it on the app. online app makes it super fast, convenient and simple plus makes pmts all in one.“
