“Absolutely amazing new restaurant in Rolling Meadows. Have been there twice now, once for dine in, and the food was so good I got carry out for dinner only a few days later! Service is impeccable, the weekly specials are delicious, and everything tastes fresh and homemade. You can’t go wrong with anything you order. 10/10!“
“On March 3rd, I hosted my Mother’s Birthday Dinner in a private room.. needless to say it was the best dining experience many of us have ever had. Not only was the food beyond, but the service was something unheard of. We were fortunate to have Greg & Benjamin as our servers and they were the absolute best. Especially now a days, I know how difficult it can be for many working in the food industry, but they were the most accommodating, kind, and helpful individuals. I’ve dined in some of the nicest places you can imagine, but still nothing compares. The food again was beyond - everything was to perfection and not a single complaint from any of our guests. Truly could not have asked for a better experience and will most definitely be giving recommendations to everyone I know. Thank you so very much to Lisa for assisting in the coordination of our event and Benjamin + Greg for the flawless execution. Many Thanks!“
“We just hosted our daughter’s baby shower at Francesca’s Tavola in Arlington Heights and could not be more pleased with how the event turned out! The food was amazing and the staff was absolutely incredible. They provided top service to all of our guests, and were so incredibly helpful and accommodating to me during the event set up and all throughout the event, ensuring everything was going as planned. Truly, an amazing experience and can’t recommend them enough. Special shoutout to my event coordinator, Katherine Woods, and event manager, Rubi Duarte as well as the incredible staff, Rene, Mzrio, Kenny and Juzn Jr. You’re the best!!“
“Francesa’s was so busy on this particular Saturday! Margo was our server and she was phenomenal! She has multiple tables but was attentive and very friendly! It actually is quite a feat to be as busy but be so present and enhance our experience! Added bonus, food was phenomenal!“
“Came in again to try out their pizza special. I got the 2 slices and a drink last time, and it was too much for me. Just got a slice of sausage, and my usual soda can. Place is usually nice and clean. Everyone is friendly and acknowledges you when you walk in. It was cooked nicely and great crust. It wasn't too hard or soft, but just the right amount of crunch. The best part is that it's not really greasy like others. Big plus in my book. I definitely would come back if I'm in the area. Perks of working out in the field and trying new places.“
“This place is so cute inside! Very cute and cozy atmosphere but kind of small. Our waiter gave us a thorough run down of the menu with suggestions. I loved the spicy vodka pasta. My espresso martini was good but definitely strong. Burrata appetizer was good but a bit pricey for the amount. It was around $18 for the four small pieces of bread. Personally, a restaurant built on the premise of sharing smaller portions should have said smaller quantities at a cheaper price. The pizza was a unique combination of ingredients I haven't seen before but very good. Overall I hope this place thrives and I would like to come back!“
“I absolutely love this place! Outstanding Customer Service, Food, Drinks, Atmosphere and amazing professional Staff. Thank you for making my Family and I always feel welcomed, accomodating us, your patience and always paying attention to detail. For sure a special place and very cozy. Will be back for sure. Everything by far is delicious. Thank you for helping us make our Birthdays memorable and making us feel at home! ?“
“If you want an amazing steak, this is the place! Steak at an Italian restaurant you ask? Yes. They have a dry aged tomahawk steak this is to die for. Mind you it is expensive, but so worth it. It’s huge and when we go as a couple we get it plus a few sides. It is also great for a larger group because then you have room to enjoy their pastas and desert. People usually think you go to a steakhouse to get a great steak. But I have found that many Italian and French restaurants offer these larger prime cuts and they are usually outstanding.“
“Ordered the Grigliata di Pesce with vegetables & a side salad with Sicilian dressing. The fish were all cooked perfectly & very flavorful. The side salad was really fresh & love the dressing. The vegetables were most likely steamed & tender. Would definitely order from here again.“
“Wow, what delicious tavern style, cracker crust pizza! Haven't eaten pizza that good since I lived on the northwest side of Chicago. The restaurant is a throw back in time. The boothes are very small...when people were smaller, I guess. I was even impressed by the busser. He was running around non stop and did a great job. The place gives off a very good vibe and worth a visit.“
“We made a very last minute reservation for a larger party and all were very accommodating to make it happen! We have dined here before but wanted to share that the food is outstanding. All members of our party enjoyed it and the service was very good - especially for a crowded Saturday night. It is a bit loud, so having full table discussion is hard but really enjoy this place and recommend!“
“Had a pickup for the first time. Loved the crusted Salmon with great mixed veggies. My GF Chicken dish had 3 breast fillets that was excellant. The young lady Alex was working really hard and had a hilarius personality. Definately going back for our Sunday takeout...“
“On line doesn't allow for 1/2 cheese only side plain ingredient pizza orders.Try calling to leave a message before store opens about on line pizza order, can't be done. Can't change delivery time on line, just stuck on 11AM, need at noon..frustration.“
“I’m so happy that i discovered this location!Ordered Margherita Pizza, Vodka Cream Pasta.Pizza Margherita Pizza is really high quality, the mozzarella has amazing texture and light oil. Also came out fresh, warm, and quick! But the PASTA IS A MUST MUST TRYVodka Pasta was perfectly boiled and the cream was rich and savory. They top it with parmesan and parsley. Surprised to experience an amazing quality Italian cuisine in the suburbs. 1000% City Quality in Lincolnshire!“
“CHARMING Delight; We had driven literally all day into town from Utah (starting in Los Angeles a couple days before), on a roadtrip with our kids and we were exhausted just searching for good food online... at a red-light my husband leans out his window to a random driver and asks where we can find good food around here. "Best Italian food is Disotto..." She gave us directions and we drove straight there- bc at this point we'd take anything, even the suggestion of a complete stranger in a town we'd never been to.To our absolute pleasure and surprise, it was one of the best Italian restaurants we've ever been to- ambiance was beyond charming, servers were enthusiastic and genuine, and the food was creative, fresh, and classic. The manager that night welcomed us and made it a stand out memory on our 2 week trip...thank you to direct lady in red SUV for the tip and solidifying the obvious street cred that Disotto highly deserves. Ciao.“
“Just wanted to have a delicious special birthday party and we got it thank to the best in town, Fausto's Kitchen! Seafood dishes were majestic, aesthetic excellent and at the end everything was like enjoying a magical journey through a universe of unique wonderful tastes.Thank you Fausto's Italian Kitchen for such a great day!“
“Del Rio is the finest restaurant that my family and I have ever had the privilege to frequent. It is part of every milestone in the lives of the Platcow family and in every sense of the word Del Rio is home and their staff are also indeed family. Much love to them and thank you Bill and Connie for providing the set and the stage for our important moments living on the North Shore these last fifty years. Much love from the Platcow family to the great Del Rio!“
“My nephew is friends with the owner and loves their food and wanted me to try it and I have to say I was very impressed. The chicken Parmesan was top-notch and the garlic rolls with the garlic inside delicious and prices that you can’t beat!“
“These are genuinely among the finest bocce courts in the USA. Wonderfully consistent and maintained. The Highwood Italian heritage vibe is genuine with many first generation members. And the members' love of the game makes them happy to tech newcomers. It's a great club and addictive game.“
“I recently went here with my family after a colleague of mine, recommended it. The first course that we had was calamari, and they were much larger pieces than I'm accustomed to, and the breading was a little bit soggy however, the second appetizer we ordered was clams, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The rest of our meals were outstanding, and we will definitely be coming back on a sidenote from a service perspective I came with my wife and three children, one of which is eight months old. The hostess or manager offered for us to sit in a private room for the door that closes as there was some music in the background. Exceptional food, exceptional service, and exceptional people.!“
“I always like to try local pizza places. The pizza taste and fresh ingredients were some of the best I ever had. I got 2 large 2-topping thin crust and 1 large 4-topping deep dish pizzas, plus a 2-liter pop. The price was $67. It would have cost about $120 for the same thing at Lou Malnati’s or Giordano’s - and I honestly think Pizza Italia was much better!“
“Food was excellent— one of my favorite restaurants in the Northwest suburbs. On this latest occasion, food was excellent; staffing was good—- service was excellent. New items on the menu—- be sure to support this restaurant; you be glad you did!!“
“Monday was a beautiful day in Chicago, and gave me an opportunity to play golf at the Buffalo Grove Golf Course. The highlight of my day however, was not my game, but the opportunity to once again sample the amazing pizza at Sal and Tony's, the restaurant at the golf course.Without a doubt, their tavern style thin crust, pepperoni and sausage was as good or better than ANY thin crust pizza I have had in recent years in the Chicago area. It was perfect. Ample crisply roasted pepperoni on top; delicious, fennel forward sausage peeking out from under the optimal amount of hot tasty cheese. The salt content had me at the first smell and bite. The crust was also perfect. It was crisp and chewy in the right proportions, and the middle pieces held up with no flop or slide of sauce or ingredients. And it was not greasy, not needing any daubing of excess oil. They are normally are not open until 3 pm on Mondays, but today was busy at the course so they let me order. I enjoyed 12” pizza at the bar, shmoozing with Sal and some of the patrons. My go to pizzas have been Barnaby's in Northbrook and Piece in Wicker Park for sheer taste and texture. I love those pizzas, but I tell you this pizza from Sal and Tony's holds up very well by comparison, it was so damn good, I can still taste it 10 hours later (that’s a good thing). I'm gonna have to start playing at Buffalo Grove more often. Their regular menu is also fabulous. They have a nice patio for summer, and they do take out too. Sal and Tony's, check it out.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy in and out“
“One of my all time favorite oldschool family owned places ,same recipe since day 1 in 1966! The very best thin crust in the Northwest Suburbs for sure ! Their homemade meatballs are amazing , add some to Manicotti or try Meatball Mushroom pizza for major “
“The staff was very friendly and did a nice job. The pizza in comparison to others that I've had in the area was just solid. It was flavorful and good, but not the best in the area. I would definitely go back to this place for a nice meal on occasion.“
“This place! Always a great meal and service. I’ve lived in the area and this place is so underrated. You can’t go wrong with the vodka pasta. While I did not have that tonight. The chicken was amazing. Cooked to perfection. The fresh side salad was amazing. Can’t go wrong with parking it right so use the valet.“
“The very best the North Shore has to offer in Italian food. This small cozy restaurant serves the most authentic Italian dishes and the baked goods are incredible. Gino the owner is an amazing person in every way and a great friendTonight the squash stuffed raviolis in a sage butter sauce with sugar brought me back to Tuscany 5 stars and get a cannoli“
“Always a great experience at Mambo. We had a bigger party and our server was great. He was extra kind to my toddler, which was so appreciated. Please add a changing table to the men’s restroom.Sincerely, a family who has babies that need to be changed and want to go with Daddy.“
“We went there 45 minutes before closing but they were still so kind to accommodate us ordering a deep dish (which takes 40 minutes to make). The gentlemen working were incredibly kind and made delicious food!! The deep dish was amazing, and despite it being primarily a carry out location, I would go to this location again 100% over others. They're awesome!!!!“
“Excellent food, great portion size, friendly staff and to top it off they are a b.y.o.b with $0 corkage fee! I love this place and recommend it highly to anyone looking for a great Italian spot...update many years later. Nothing but good things to say! Cannot recommend enough.“
“We are very particular about our pizzas and Northshore Pizza was exceptional! We ordered the stuffed pizza and wouldn't change a thing. -The crust is flavorful with a slightly crisp bottom ....perfect platform for the generous amount of cheese on top. The tangy sauce is delicious and brings the pizza to life. Even the customer service is great! These guys know what there doing! Definitely our new go-to.“
“This place is amazing!!!! Very welcoming. I haven’t been to Italy to really compare, however this is how I envisioned it would look.Ordered a bunch of food for the family. Something for everyone. The gentleman that took my order was on point and was able to help me get my order together. The pictures on the wall make me want to go visit Italy.“
“If you're looking to buy some of the best fresh/dried pasta on the North Shore to cook at home, this is your spot. The only problem is once you have it, it's impossible to go back to store-bought dried pasta. They have a ton of different varieties that they sell by the pound. They'll also put it together into a really cute gift bag if you want a fun present for a friend. In addition to the dried pasta that they make in-house, they have probably around a hundred prepared frozen dishes in their freezer ready to take home and warm up, again all made in-house, as well as homemade frozen pizzas that are equally fantastic. This is a true gem, family run, and you can tell everything they do is done with love. There's nothing else like it around.“
“We enjoyed our first dinner at the restaurant and plan to return. We tried the two salmon dinners on the menu and the Julie salad. I found the salmon oreganata a bit too salty for my taste; the rest of the food was all great. We wished there was better lighting and temperature control in the dining area (I was cold). Overall I would recommend it for high quality food at reasonable prices.“
“First time there was Valentine’s Day with my wife and daughter. Food and service was good. Probably not the best night to go somewhere for the first time when it’s a special couples night. Will definitely give it another try. Easy parking“
“I visited for a lunch-time private event. They had our party in a separate room. I was not the host but want to review because of how awesome they are.I can't eat gluten and they did an AMAZING job! Instead of bruschetta on bread, they had bruschetta on the tastiest grilled eggplant, they had gluten free pasta, a salad, chicken with cheese and sauce and steamed broccoli, ice cream for dessert. The staff made sure to tell me it was a gluten free plate for the courses where it wasn't as obvious. Love the communication, love the flavors.“
“The food was fantastic, the staff was kind and friendly with great recommendations. The desert we had, the sticky toffee bread pudding was phenomenal! The service was perfect with timing and the atmosphere is comfortable and charming. This is a neat place to go to to catch up with friends and family or a date. Thanks so much for the great evening!“
“My family and a couple of my sons hockey team members needed a quick food spot by the local Northbrook rink. Couple doors down from Pure Hockey too, bonus. Food was fantastic, lots of different options and had TVs to watch sports. Quick and easy. Menu was huge from Pizza, sandwiches/subs, salads, pasta and desserts. Staff was nice too. Would highly recommend.“
“Love their pizza's. Always done to perfection. Great toppings and no matter how busy they are the pizza is always ready within 30 minutes. The staff is courteous and friendly. If you want a fantastic pizza go to Nino's. They have never let me downSteveParking: Large parking lot and easy access to main road“
“Great food, good service, and a classic Italian restaurant atmosphere. We've eaten at Nancy's twice and have ordered thin crust pizza and lasagna so far. Both are delicious and you really can't go wrong either way. We specifically ordered the four cheese pizza. The pizza is thin crust, but not a cracker crust. The combination of the cheeses is amazing and it was different (in a good way) having ricotta on a pizza. The lasagna was so comforting and good. Perfect meat to sauce to cheese to pasta ratio. We also got bread sticks and salad with our lasagna and even those were really good. The salad ingredients were very fresh.“
“Garibaldi's is not my go to pizza place, but there are times when I get a hankering for their Pizza and it hit's the spot every time. The product is very consistent, the slices are huge. I remember when it was in Town and Country Mall back in the day and they had a guy tossing dough, it was pretty cool. I kinda miss that old mall. Anyway, yes, I recommend this place.“
“Just tried their lunch combo yesterday and it was such a great deal!! Two square slices of pizza and a bottle of soda for $9 and some change! The choices are: cheese, pepperoni, or sausage. The crust is crispy on the bottom and soft and fluffy on the inside! Sauce tastes great too!I’ll be coming back when I come back into town for business!“
“It's a small restaurant with big food! You will want to go early because they don't reservations. Wine list could use an update. They were out of a particular Italian red wine on the list, and the white wines need an overhaul. Otherwise, everything was excellent.“
“The server was very attentive even though it was a busy night at prime time. We ordered his recommendations and were not disappointed. The price was as expected, not too much but fair. Wish the lights were a little dimmer but they were fine.“
“I’m originally from Glenview. Came in to town to visit with my parents and we ordered pizza from here. From the phone call, to the delivery man coming to the door, (saying hello to my mom who just had surgery) to the yummy pizza it was a great experience. People are not nice these days and they were just great! Keep up the great work! I was highly impressed and I highly recommend! Thank you for everything!“
“We recently had a memorial lunch there, and everything was amazing. They made it easier on the family during our difficult time. From the moment we met up with Kyle to reserve the banquet hall to the day of the memorial. The entire staff was absolutely sweet and empathetic. Also, the food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you to the entire staff.“
“Dinner at Lou's is always great! Big parking lot so no worries about finding a spot. Call ahead and make a reservation and we like to sit in the main dining room. Ask for it. Great memorabilia on the walls and all around. Be sure to check out the old Comisky Park stadium seats as you walk in. Service was particularly great last night with a super sweet young lady giving us fantastic service. Get an appetizer because the pizza takes 30 minutes. Good beer selection and cocktails too.“
“Incredible food! This is such a great option to have restaurant high quality Meals specially prepared to be taken home! I have tried most items, and often get some sides & appetizers, to have for lunch next day. I especially love the eggplant Parmigiano, Sour Cherry saffron rice, Prosciutto & mushroom pasta, etc. Service is really friendly, with the proprietor hands on! I highly recommend this local treasure!“
“Amazing service and food. As first time diners we were greeted by the Kitchen manager with delicious bruschetta and given the best service ever. Food was delicious and so flavorful, the atmosphere is so fancy, luxurious, and clean. 100% will be traveling back for our anniversary in May! Thanks Chef for an amazing experience !Dietary restrictions: They asked for any allergies and I loved that.Parking: It's by a mall so plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: So many people had Littles there and they had big smiles, and crayons and coloring pages to color.“
“1st time here. Visiting from GA. Not disappointed one bit. Kids and hubby raved. For me the wings was very flavorful but could be a little juicer, but it was seasoned to the bone. Mozzarella was perfect. Didn't take piks of sticks or wings cus I forgot and starving. Pizza was 7/10 for me. Hubby says it was 8.5/10. Again, not disappointed at all. We will be back before we depart Chi town!“
