Both of our dishes were prepared to our specifications. Mine was seared on the outside and tender moist on the inside. To add to that perfection, the sunchoke purée had an amazing mélange of flavors. I finished my meal with the Scorza Dolce--also packed with flavor.I have now had three meals that were so exquisitely flavorful that they will stick in my mind forever (previous two are from 1981 and 2005). It turned out to be so much more then just dinner, to quote one of our dinner companions, Brian Romer, "We have enjoyed fine dining for many years but last night was a Kodak memory experience. From the moment we approached the front entrance, we were greeted by a nicely uniformed young man who welcomed us as he opened the door, then we were escorted to our table where we were introduced to the concept of a service team. service being the key word. As those attending to our needs moved in and out, sometimes barely noticed, but extra warm bread or more olive oil would suddenly appear on the table, water glass refilled by slight of hand. "Would we like a drink before dinner?" I was undecided on the choice of wine, he helped pair perfectly with what I was going to have for dinner. The dinner, I can only speak of the chicken Vesuvio. Seriously, and I had to share this with Steve while we were there, pretty much perfect, one change I must admit, I would prefer my potatoes served not floating in the sauce, I like them crispy. and the SERVING SIZE! I was served an entire spatchcocked chicken plus potatoes. No, I did not clear my plate, those magicians who saw to our every need took our plates, swept any crumbs from the cloth, packaged our delicious remains then knew we would be enjoying at home tonight, then someone suggested, dare I say, DESSERT? How can I describe the desserts? The six of us shared three, each came accompanied by a scoop of a different ice cream or gelato. Butter cake, cannoli and tiramisu, each one better than the other. During dinner both the manager and Steve, the owner stopped by the table and we made sure to send our thanks and good impressions to the chef. OH, everyone at our table was equally as impressed with their choice of dinner as I. If. when you go be prepared, you are not just going to dinner, you are going to enjoy an event if you allow yourself to, we spent close to three hours savoring the experience and look forward to a repeat in the not too distant future.“

“Love their food but some improvement is needed with ordering. I’ve had 2 issues which I wasn’t going to mention the first one but after today I decided to write about it so maybe Managment can see and tweak things a bit. First issue a while ago (I think about 5-7 months ago) I ordered a plain cheeseburger with fries and bottled water. Drive away from the drive-through and as I get ready to eat my food 10 min later I realize they didn’t put cheese on it. So I drove back and said I asked for a plain cheeseburger and you guys forgot to put the cheese on. Girl says ok and gets me a new one. Drive away and I park in front of the store to just take a peak and guess what. Again no cheese. Burgers have no cheese. Cheeseburgers have cheese. A plain cheeseburger gets nothing else except for cheese. A plain burger is just a bun and the burger patty. I just wanted to eat so I moved on and ate my plain burger. Today I ordered a Buffalo ranch chicken salad but I asked if I can have the chicken grilled instead of the breaded one and they gave me chicken without Buffalo sauce. If they weren’t sure they could have asked but this wasn’t for me. And this was not their first time ordering this item but they’ve never had an issue so somehow this message was confusing either to the kitchen or how it was rung in. This was ordered at 5:04:50 PM on 2/10/2022 receipt DT98. Order Id: AAANPKMJAQAH at the 861 E. Rand Rd. My. Prospect location. We didn’t have the energy to drive back and get the right chicken. The grands, ages 5 and 3, were overly enthusiastic as well and I am quite sure everyone knows that is hard to accomplish. The fries were also seasoned nicely (hits with the whole fam). “I am a Chicago native now living in Colorado. While visiting, I needed to find a place that offered both deep dish pizza for my husband and gluten free pizza for me. This was a great choice. My husband was able to order deep dish by the slice and said it was delicious. My GF pizza was yummy with sausage and onion. I don't know what makes Chicago onions on pizza unique, but they just aren't the same anywhere else. The price was reasonable, and the tables outside in the shade were lovely.“

“I love coming to Convito, so I brought one of my friends who had never been there. I told her what great food they have and that I always enjoyed the experience. True to form, we had a wonderful meal, good service and an enjoyable time. They always have a delicious selection to choose from and I have never been disappointed. One of my favorite desserts is the selection of three scopes of sorbet. Very delicious! You will definitely be impressed and will this find this a cozy place to come back to, again and again.“
