“Food is delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming and chill. The staff is wonderfully friendly and accommodating. We were there with my 7 and 10 year old for dinner. My son has special needs and they were so great with him. At the end of the dinner when they could see I was struggling a bit with my son, one server came to me and said, “don’t worry mama, we got you.” So kind. “This is a safe welcoming place for everyone. Families, friends and lone rangers seem all welcome. It has the warm vibe of a Irish pub. The staff and owners seem genuinely invested in their customers. The space is a unique noteworthy addition to Batavia. Oh, and their beer it rocks...“

“Alter is one of my favorite places. Go get a big pretzel for 2, have a flight of really good beer, and enjoy the atmosphere. They have seating outside along the river, indoor seating that is like a 4 seasons room, and the taproom.
Full menu. Good food. A good comfort spot.
My last flight had 4 very different beers to try. There is a variety and often new beers to try. Big thumbs up.“
