“My sister Shelly Nagy purchased tickets to a Sunday afternoon drag brunch to celebrate my birthday! Marco not only held the door open for his guests, but he was also very kind and generous! He offered 2nd helpings (my only regret is that I did not indulge on that offer). Our meal was plentiful, delicious and presented beautifully! The bartenders cocktails (garnished w/ fresh flowers!) are pure elegance and his customer service skills are excellent! The drag show was a blast! The music was a hit (inside and out) and the upscale atmosphere will always have me anxiously waiting to come back soon! Thank you Marcos & Shelly for the most wonderful birthday celebration anyone will ever dream of! Gorgeous Downtown LaGrange is lucky to have Marco’s Kitchen! Take me back already!“

She made sure we were comfortable the entire time and went above and beyond to take great care of us, checking in often and making sure we had everything we needed. “I arranged for an 80 th birthday celebration at the Greek island restaurant in Lombard. . After 80 years of waiting for a celebratory birthday , George , the manager and his staff exceeded my expectations. We had a family style meal for 50 people . Not required preparation , planning and coordination for the staff and cooks . They exceeded our expectations . Everyone of the invitees raved about the quality of the food , the presentation , timeliness , and the competency of the staff . The servers and runners kept the food coming , clearing for the next course , taking drink orders and keeping everyone’s place settings clean and organized . It was an amazing service and all the guests thanked the staff and the hostess for the superb presentation.“

“What a great family restaurant. We were in Elmhurst and not familiar with the area and I saw the High View Family restaurant in Villa Park on Trip Advisor. Loved it. We like the Greek owned American restaurants in my neighborhood. Mini mall parking lot and some handicapped parking. Went in to two large rooms, very clean and welcoming. Sign at front desk had 4 different kinds of soup. Our waitress was Aleka and she was excellent and was very attentive. Need extra napkins, water refill, didn't even have to ask, she was right on it. I had the chicken noodle soup and chicken sandwich and fries and my son had a chicken bacon one that we both liked. Left a tip and paid by the door. Would go again if in the area.“

“An absolute neighborhood gem! The food was fresh and delicious. From the minute my husband and I walked in we felt super welcomed. The owner, Dr. Lulu is so kind, funny, and welcoming. We live in the neighborhood and decided to give it a try. Great pozole, great nachos, fantastic lengua, asada cut for tacos is perfecta and tasty, and the fish tacos are actual fish—sooo good! We enjoyed the hospitality and we will definitely be returning! Try the café de casa! Delicious! It was also very nice to see how many regulars she has. You could tell everyone enjoyed Dr. Lulu’s bright personality .“

“We ordered the dinner special last night. This includes an entree, fried rice and an egg roll. I got the shrimp kow, and my husband got mushroom egg foo young. The shrimp kow contained a generous amount of large shrimp and an assortment of veggies in a white sauce, which was highly seasoned. Bok choy, mushrooms,broccoli, peapods, water chestnuts,celery and adorably thinly sliced carrots. I loved it! My husband must have enjoyed the egg foo young...it's all gone! The dinner came in a black takeout container that was divided into two sections.Very nice. The shrimp egg rolls were huge and rolled very fancy! All the food was piping hot and ready for pick up in 15 minutes! The service when ordering and picking up was very courteous and accommodating. Prices were very reasonable!
Vegetarian options: A whole section of vegitarian options including tofu.“
