“My first time in the store. Went to get a quick ham sandwich. I’m so glad I did!The gentleman at the counter was very polite and pleasant and took no time at all to make my classic ham on a croissant! Lots of thick slices of delicious ham, I ordered with mayo lettuce and tomato. Pleasantly surprised that it was romaine lettuce and one nice fresh crunchy leaf just as I like my sandwich. Tomato was fresh although I could have used a second slice but not worried. My tummy is happy! I will be back!“

“We had a memorial reception at Angelo's yesterday. Everyone was very happy and well taken care of. The was delicious, as always. We had 50 people - 10 more than expected - and the staff accommodated all without a hitch. Great restaurant!“

“Great, little lunch spot full of a variety of food options made fresh daily! My husband had tuna salad sandwich, I had 1/2 turkey sandwich & 1/2 garden salad—generous portions! Soup made fresh daily. Amazing desserts too!PSA: open 11A-3P TU, WED, FRI & SAT (Sat is dependent on staffing per owner—call first after 9am to get daily hrs etc)Please patronize this local business, it’s so deserving! And their pizza spot is top notch!!

“Great lunch spot in downtown Wheaton for a quick bite. The sandwiches are a very good and generous sized. I really like the grinders and panini when I want a hot sandwich. Great service & staff! There is outdoor seating so we can bring our dog when the weather is nice. It can get crowded on weekends around lunchtime, especially in the warmer months.
Parking: Plenty of street parking is available if you can find a spot. During busy times in Wheaton, I recommend the free parking garage, it is centrally located and only minutes walk to any of the attractions. It is maybe a 2 minute walk to the deli.
Kid-friendliness: Kids love eating here! Lots of families visit Shane's because of the very kid friendly menu.“

“We went here for lunch with 7 of us not realizing it was a smaller place. The manager set up a larger table for us and even waited on us! The staff was absolutely outstanding. The food was great as well. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.“
“I love this place. My dad is German and we love European snacks. They have turkish delight , they have Kvass, they have the Nicolas the 2nd tea. It's like a mix of European goods. Honest this little place is a hidden gem. Also they have European style meats. It really is amazing.“

“I walked in one rainy day, and I never have been to this deli store, and I asked the man for a tunafish sandwich. It was the best tunafish sandwich I have ever eaten in my life. The bread was fresh. The tuna fish was fresh, the seasonings, he put Italian seasonings on this tuna fish sandwich, I will specially go to Elmhurst to eat this food. It is so good you need to try this place.“
“I am so happy I used notable events for my wedding day catering. The food was unbelievable and my guests raved that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. I had 5 stations giving my guests a wide variety of options and each option was equally exceptional. Ann was great to work with prior to the event always willing to help answer any questions. They set up and tore down seamlessly and the staff was so helpful. I highly recommend using notable for any future wedding or event and will be giving them my business again as soon as I have the opportunity.
