“This hidden gem serves the Campus of the University of Chicago and those of us who come in off the street! My parents (both 81) and I came in for lunch. We couldn’t find it at first, but a nice young man happily told us where it was. Inside one of the campus buildings.

We had croissant sandwiches, with side salads and Topo Chico. There was beautiful outdoor seat - most of which was all ready bustling with interesting people (great people watching) enjoying the beautiful weather, wine and fellowship with a beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright house (I believe) right next to them.“

“We ❤️ Thornton Distilling!! We come here regularly and I just realized I've never left a review encouraging others to check it out. The food and drinks are great (obsessed with the lavender lemonade they make in the summer), the bar itself is very cool and historic and their outdoor patio is dog friendly. My husband has done the distillery tour for his bachelor party and thought it was really fun. Highly recommend!“

“I love this place. I usually order delivery but it is reasonably priced and so good. We usually order the breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burrito. This is the first place I've had cafe con leche and it was so good. We order all the time.“

“Growing up I lived on the west coast so Hawaiian Pizza is a thing for me. It's delicious ?. My kids of course do the pepperoni or sausage lol. I also do the sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms again very good. Their giant pretzel is soft amd yummy. My sons and family love the atmosphere there, sports games playing on screens, outdoor seating in the summer, definitely a family friendly spot. Danny's is totally a whole vibe. ??“

“Excellant tasting food, and I was a Sous Chef at Chez Paul in the early eighties . I totally know my mixtures and taste relation! This establishment has it together. God Bless the retired Fireman and Police officer! There is no better tasting Rib House around the South Side than 911 ! GENTLEMEN the rib tips are heavenly!?“

My husband ordered ‘la toxica’ and he said it was made with authentic horchata. I had the mazapan latte and it was so good.l was pleasantly impressed that it was not overly sweet but had the rich peanut flavor. Glad to have found this place close to our lodging!“

Who thought birria, like, and consommé would be so amazing on a pizza?! Also had the st paddy’s day fatty and it was also delicious! “We went there on Friday night . We wanted to try something different so I got the Friday Fish Fry with mashed potatoes and corn. My husband got the chicken and dumplings with mashed potatoes and the green beans. He loved his meal. My fish was good and the tartar sauce was delicious! My corn was not very warm but I ate them. The mashed potatoes were hard and cold. I told the waitress and she brought out a new one. We tried the sugar plum tea , it was very good! The service was good and we had a very nice experience. The last time we were there it was a disaster! But we decided to give them another try. Glad we did, it’s like they have new people working there and things were much better.
