I found this place online and read nothing but wonderful reviews about the food, and service. Located in downtown Westmont. Parking was so easy (right across the street), and from the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. The manager Sergio greeted us with a huge smile, sat us, and told us a little about the restaurant. Our server Alysa was nothing short of amazing, knowledgeable, and gave us wonderful recommendations. We felt like family! All of the food is made in house, pastas, sauces, and even the wine and desserts! You can taste the quality of the ingredients, and tell that every single person puts so much care into making sure every customer is happy. The whole experience was wonderful, and it’s so nice to see small (not chain restaurants) are thriving. It’s been a long time since we had an experience like this at a restaurant and we appreciate their hospitality! I think we found our new date night spot! We will be back!! OFTEN! “We were able able to make a reservation via Google, and when we arrived they were expecting us. The staff is really nice, took our drink order right away (coffee and waters) and then our food order soon after. I loved my endless cup of coffee and banana crepes. One person ordered chiquillas, which looked great. We added meat sides later, which came right away. The bill was totally reasonable (no separate checks tho, FYI), and everyone left full and happy.“

“First time here, and it was fantastic. While waiting for my dining partner to arrive, the place was mobbed in minutes (6 pm on a Friday), but the 2 counter staff and the kitchen staff never stopped moving. We got our meals fairly quickly, considering the rush. The best thing? The food was great! Perfect seasoning on the fries, the tenders are HUGE (like 2 and a half combined into one monster piece).

I got the Tender / Mini / Fries combo, and my wife got the Mac combo.

The spices are perfectly balanced - I had mild and medium on my chicken, my partner had mild on hers. She has a much more timid palate, and she was good. If you get mild on the Mac combo, make sure the sauce on the Mac matches the chicken sauce - otherwise, that's *a spicy*.

I can not compliment the counter staff enough - they were moving so fast. I told the one she should try out for the Chicago Bears; she did a supply run in 10 seconds flat! Even the customer next to me agreed! =)

Chef George provided all the necessary instruction and supplies - including a lively starter - for students to start their own sourdough journey at home. The class included hands-on experience feeding the starter, as well as folding and shaping the dough. I had a great time at the class and can't wait to return to try out the breakfast and lunch menu at The Ancestral Oven Bakery and Cafe.“

The menu is varied, everything I've ever had has been excellent from the Beef Bourguignon Crepe to the French Onion soup. The atmosphere is lovely. “Back when I lived in the area, Irish Times had just opened and I stopped in to have a Guinness. Now, I have had Guinness all over the Chicago area and never has a Chicago pint ever approached the magical, otherworldly flavor of a pint consumed in Ireland. I don't know if it's the water, the proximity to the brewery or just some kind of strange magic that happens to Guinness in Ireland, but I've never had better. That all changed when I drank that first pint at Irish Times. It was easily the best pint of Guinness I've had outside the Emerald Isle. I've since left the area and have had pints all over the United States and Canada. Nothing has approached the quality, freshness and taste of the Guinness at Irish Times in Brookfield. If you are lucky enough to be nearby, don't hesitate to make a detour to the pub. You will not regret it.“

“We held a celebration of life for my brother here today. About 50 in attendance in the stylish, comfortable upstairs area. Despite the fact that I planned this from 400 miles away and without having ever seen the venue, it went off without a hitch due to Mr. David Candiotti and his staff. No surprises. Everything was as promised. The venue is extremely stylish and rustic. Food was delicious and plentiful as were the drinks. Service was fast, efficient and friendly thanks to Mona, Alberto and Olena. I highly recommend.“
