We tried five different drinks: blended brown sugar with tapioca, peach gummy bear with lychee tapioca, strawberry gummy bear with strawberry popping, mango with lemon, and another strawberry gummy bear with regular tapioca. All of them were insanely sweet. Like, “kids bouncing off the walls and singing kpop songs at full volume at 10 pm” sweet. Kids loved it. We the bedtime enforcers, did not. The food was good and filling, the serving portions are just right or more than expected. There are sketchbooks on the table you can draw on which makes eating there more fun. “Lao Sichuan has the most authentic and consistently amazing Chinese food to be found anywhere in the U.S. Having spent some time living in China while I was in undergrad, there are certain flavors that I crave, which your run of the mill American style Chinese restaurant will not have. My wife and I live in St Charles and make the 1 hour 20 minute round trip at least once a week to get our fix. The food is that good. The owner is seemingly always there, and obviously genuinely cares about ensuring quality in what is served every time. Our favorites are Chengdu Style King Pao Chicken, Ma Po Tofu, Beef in Pure Cumin Powder, Toothpicks Lamb, and the Xiao Long Bao. I cannot for the life of me fathom how this restaurant does not have a higher rating. It is the best. Try it. You won't regret it.“

“I wish I took pictures, but we ate everything so quickly… IT’S JUST SO GOOD! We had the Korean hotdogs, mochi donuts and boba coffee and milk tea. Every week they have different mochi donut flavors, try them all! For the Korean hotdogs, you choose your flavor, then if you want mozzarella/sausage, and a dipping sauce. Also, the actual location is cute and inviting with extra seating in the back. Highly recommend!“

“Wow. I have been searching for a good chicken sandwich spot for years since I moved back to Chicagoland. Do-rite is nothing in comparison to this spot. Ask for honey on the side to put on the spice chicken sandwich with coleslaw. The fries are perfection. Hareem was sweet and even turned up the music a little to make the atmosphere more enjoyable. 10/10 will be back at least once a week for the rest of my life.“
