“Just called a few minutes ago at 8:52pm. They close at 9. I live a 3-minute walk away. The associate who answered the phone answered with, "Thanks for calling Paisans, we are now closed." I said, "Oh, what time did you close today?" They said, "9'o'clock." I asked, "Well, can I pick up two slices to go?" knowing they'd only have to reheat them and that I'd get there a few minutes before they closed. I work in a restaurant on the same block and know how it is to get a last-minute order before close, was trying to make it easy. The associate responded in a sarcastic tone, "No, we're sold out of slices, sorry." Immediately there was a burst of laughter from other employees in the background and then they hung up the phone before I could respond. I get it, 'fuck me' for trying to order last minute, but if it's a feasible order that doesn't take any real preparation and you're already telling people you're closed before you actually are, then ["F"ill in the blank]. Atop that, making jokes to deny service and gratify staff. Its dumb and pedantic infantile behavior that's only self-serving.“

Decided on a vacation week! Chose Berwyn due to its proximity to Chicago. Glad we did!

What a great community!

We stopped in around 5pm. Nice greeting! Quickly seated.

We started with the Bruschetta. Instantly knew we were in the right place! Grilled bread! Not to hard not to soft. Fresh ingredients, great flavor.

I chose the lamb chops. Holy Smokes! Best I’ve ever had and that’s saying something!! I don’t know how they did it!!?? Grilled! Breaded! Crunchy! Tender! Perfectly cooked. Broccoli perfectly! Served with potatoes that were a little crispy with big flavor!

My wife had the Crab Cake. It was huge! Loaded with crab and perfectly seasoned and fried. The sauce paired perfectly with this dish. She also had penne pasta in their Marsala sauce. Again, everything was fresh and amazing.

Ended it all with 2 desserts because why not!
Tiramisu….Amazing
Crème Brûlée…Amazing

We ate all over Chicago, this was our #1 favorite!

“Gpay didn't work and I had no physical card. After trying the Gpay several times, I gave up. The manager asked for the drink I was drinking back, lol. I got in the car, saw my wallet in the seat and decided not to go back in. I drove out of my way to try this food, but this experience with being asked for the drink back was shocking. #theapartmentlady“

I found this place online and read nothing but wonderful reviews about the food, and service. Located in downtown Westmont. Parking was so easy (right across the street), and from the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. The manager Sergio greeted us with a huge smile, sat us, and told us a little about the restaurant. Our server Alysa was nothing short of amazing, knowledgeable, and gave us wonderful recommendations. We felt like family! All of the food is made in house, pastas, sauces, and even the wine and desserts! You can taste the quality of the ingredients, and tell that every single person puts so much care into making sure every customer is happy. The whole experience was wonderful, and it’s so nice to see small (not chain restaurants) are thriving. We also were served by some of the best and most courteous staff we have ever experienced. “One of the few remaining ethnic food festivals around. The old-time carnival rides were full of fun for the grandkids. The food was provided by many mom & pop shops who have been cooking Italian for years. No admission charge and each vendor charging $2 - 3 per item. Adjacent Taste of Mexico section provides even more variety. The Folklorico dancers put on a most professional show as did the other entertainment stages. Will definitely bring the family back next year.“

“We go often but I must comment on how the hostess greets us every time we come in no matter how long it's been between visits. She is so happy to see us. She's such a joy. Then, of course, we get our favorite waitress, Tina, who is always smiling. And then there's the extra large piece of lasagna and chicken Caesar salad and don't get me started on the warm bread. Came to enjoy diner here with a close friend, although I will say the food was good overall the prices were out of line for what food was being served at this restaurant. They need to be a bit more conscientious about what they are charging for some of the dishes there, although I love pasta I did not enjoy spending as much on the food there as I did when knowing I could’ve easily had a better meal from a restaurant I would’ve preferred for steak, but this is the restaurant my friend wanted to go to in particular for the breadsticks and soup, fortunately that is what made the visit worth going. The unlimited soup and breadsticks helped balance out the value of the meal.“
