I work in a restaurant on the same block and know how it is to get a last-minute order before close, was trying to make it easy. Immediately there was a burst of laughter from other employees in the background and then they hung up the phone before I could respond. I get it, 'fuck me' for trying to order last minute, but if it's a feasible order that doesn't take any real preparation and you're already telling people you're closed before you actually are, then ["F"ill in the blank]. Atop that, making jokes to deny service and gratify staff. Its dumb and pedantic infantile behavior that's only self-serving.“
