“I'm my way to Midway and decided to get something to eat and I decided to go to the Best Shawerma. Let me tell you!!! I am glad that I decided to stop here. I got the combination plate. This dish is plenty for a hungry soul. The chicken is flavored perfectly, the rice is also flavored perfectly. The beef and lamb are cooked and flavored well also. Everything is seasoned, so good that I didn't need to use the three sauces that came with the meal. Everything time I fly into Midway, I am definitely making a stop when I land or when I'm going home.“

“When heading towards Beverly for a property management home inspection, I wanted to find a local coffee joint that I could get a coffee and a snack of some sort. Afro Joe's was calling to me. Walking in, greeted warmly, the adventure began. If you haven't been, check the menu before you go because you will want to order one of each item! Since it was my first time, most certainly NOT the last, I needed a lifeline. Charmaine to the rescue. I don't know if I manifested or she read my mind , but when I asked which sandwich I should order instantly , she said the short rib! Boom! Done. Next up, a drink choice. Again I was not led astray. The option was a blueberry lavender cold brew topped with rose cold foam. As she was suggesting the option, Charmaine lifted the one she was drinking and again instantly sold. No chocolate croissant available since it was later in the morning but the chocolate morning roll was there and three for three, the order was placed. I already know that I have to come back, time and time again.Just walking in such a chill vibe , perfect music, everyone tables either working or chatting with a friend. The open kitchen invites you to see the hustle and bustle. The garage doors roll up onto the patio for warmer days and what appears to be local art work adorns the walls. When I tell you, this is absolutely no exaggeration, every item was on point! The short rib was so flavor forward eith the bite of picked onions, there was a side of diced pickles and onions too. Also a hit. The warm bun had some fruit nestled in its chocolatey tummy, flakes and moist with the richness of cocoa. And for the latte, cold, sweet and the flavors all complimented each other so well. I did opt for whole milk because, why not?!? I had one too many client emails and texts to be able to enjoy grabbing a book from the shelf but note, they even had the sharpest of colored pencils to doodle or write a note with. I have not one complaint, well, maybe one, I wish they were in my neighborhood because this would be a staple place to visit regularly! “I discovered this place online about a year ago and have been a repeat customer ever since. I've done a lot of exploring on their menu and have never been disappointed. Everything is fresh, flavorful & delicious. I'm no foodie, but I know these guys keep me coming back. AND their delivery packing is so freaking adorable!! It may sound silly, but the bag and boxes the food comes in is so well done and elevates the at home experience.

“Rejoice! The place for some great Chinese teas had arrived near you! Yes, it does share the fad with the Taiwan born boba drinks. But our eye was caught by the nice website with images of nice teacups and ambiance. Only 23 miles away from home we discovered that the trip in a hot and still pandemic day was totally worth it. In few words owner, Shaolong picked the teaist vibes in us and offered us a great real experience of sharing a favorite tea - he introduced us to the wonders of Zhang Ping Shui Xian (漳平水仙). Unlike the real "black tea", the Pu-erh, this one also comes in bricks, yet is a type of oolong with an amazing floral scent. We were honored with 4 different samples which we are currently slowly and thoroughly testing (3 pics). And yes, the fermentation levels are different - some definitely will give you a great oolong taste, but others are just a unique elixir on its own. But back to the house itself. I see and hope for great unrolling potential. This could become a place for tea lovers and teaists in training. Why not theme days, classes, shared experiences, a club? We would join. The 23 miles are a drive, but there isn't much of a real tea-drinking place in our Chicagoland (unlike smaller cities in North America like Portland and Montreal). However, Living Water Tea House is a great promise and it totally won our full support! Keep the cups warm!“

My second visit in 2025 managed to top the previous trip. Such a fantastic experience and great conversation. The *N.C. “Hi! So my take on Ume Tea. Out of all restaurants/tea shops I've went here in Chinatown this is my favorite place to go and relax. Pink is my favorite color and it's makes me feel at ease that this tea shop is colored all pink! They always play popular, good music here to listen. Aside the pink, cute aesthetic here, I can confidently say the food here is tasty with delious tea drinks to pick! Employees here are also friendly, always attends customers here! “I’m new to the neighborhood, and happily have fallen in love with Metric. I walk my dog around the cafe pretty much everyday. The coffee is great, and the pastry is excellent! Most of my experiences with the staff have been lovely, however there is one employee (owner/manager?) that consistently has a bad attitude. For example, today, he was trash talking my half-caff latte order, and voiced out loud in front of not only me, the customer, but everyone else and his coworkers, “who would want to put that **** in their drink?” Isn’t that basically saying you serve bad decaf? I’ll still frequent Metric, because I love it. I just wish every experience was top notch and I didn’t have to roll the dice on having an equally pleasant experience with everyone working there.“

combo fried flat rice noodles were pure perfection! sichuan wonton and fried rice were also top notch. the dongo chicken special we had was flavorful but we didn’t know it was served cold. overall, the place is excellent and the server was friendly

opon our second visit we also ordered the dry chili chicken, flat rice noodles, sichuan wontons, and wonton soup. the egg drop soup was the only we didn't like but everything else was 10/10!“
