You were really like when you spend your money and try them and they give you large potions the last two days for me. I eat on this for two days they show you love all the sides. “Swung by One Stop Jamaica Jerk on 79th and grabbed the jerk chicken dark meat dinner. That chicken was juicy with just the right amount of heat. Sides of red beans & rice and cabbage were on point, and the plantains added a sweet touch. Washed it down with a Jamaican soda, bringing the total to about $25. Portions were generous, and the flavors hit home. Definitely a solid spot for authentic jerk on the South Side.“

“This is the very 1st Jerk restaurant where EVERYTHING was good and fresh. I had oxtails, jerk chicken, cabbage, Mac and Cheese, yams, peas and rice, and plantain. My Ma had a full dark jerk chicken dinner as well. The Mac and cheese was seasoned to perfection and cheesy as ever (no egg; baked). The yams not overly sweet, jerk chicken just right. The cabbage is consistently good. Only disappointment was the size oxtail they give is small. (4 little pieces and 2 big. Thats everywhere though) EVERYTHING was hot, and did I say fresh?? glad it's right around my Mas house. I'll be eating here much more often!!“

“First time here and definitely worth trying. The chicken is soft and well seasoned with the jerk flavors. Mac and cheese is cheesy and good. Cabbage is good..now the red beans and rice tasted like rice a roni..it didn’t have that real flavor of red beans and rice plus I think all I got was like three beans. Then it came with some sauce that was sweet, rubbed me the wrong way. But overall I would recommend for anyone to try for themselves.“

“I love jerk palace I eat at this location everytime I visit Chicago. My father passed away so i decided to book them for catering for his repast services yesterday. I REGRET THAT SO MUCH I spent $1,090 THE CATERING FOOD WAS TERRRIBLE all of the chicken was burnt, rice wasn’t fully cooked and mac was super soupy… So that being said the food is good for a take out order but do not book them for catering they can’t handle it…. I even went in to complain in person n I was just told sorry while spending $118 more dollars on single meals. But I own a food business in mn and in this situation some kind of resolution should have been made a credit or something. That was nasty work!“

“I have been here a total of 4 times and every time it is a hit ! I usually don’t do reviews but when something is good I definitely support I usually stop and get a donut at Dat Donut and then I walk down and grab some jerk, the location and atmosphere I would only stop during the daytime but as far as the food it is reasonably priced, the portions are large, the jerk chick is really good so is the rice and peas very soft and cabbage, the Mac and Cheese I will say is bland and it is a 3$ up charge lately they have not had any plantains which is a disappointment but I will say if you want some good authentic jerk food try Jerk it iz.“

“The owners are beautiful people, they welcome you soon as you come in. I’ve had two birthday parties there and both of them were awesome. There is plenty of parking, always clean inside great atmosphere, gorgeous bathrooms, dance floor, VIP seating, a backdrop for taking pictures, casino machines, not to mention the drinks are going on. I feel like family when I go there. Good place to clear your head. Enjoy music dance whatever your choice is it’s there. . If you’re thinking about having a party, you can also have food catered from them and it is delicious. Always a good Friendly crowd. “Five Stars for Flavor & Vibes at Ray’s Caribbean Jerk! From the moment we walked in, the customer service at Ray’s Caribbean Jerk was top-notch—friendly, welcoming, and full of good energy. They even offered us a sample of their jerk chicken, and wow—instant flavor explosion. We knew we were in for a treat. We each ordered a dinner (which comes with rice and beans plus two sides). I went with the BBQ chicken tips paired with yams, baked mac n cheese, and the classic rice and beans. Every bite was soulful and satisfying—perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. He had the jerk chicken tips with the same sides, and let’s just say there wasn’t a single bite left. The heat, the flavor, the tenderness—it’s exactly what you want from a jerk dish. To wash it down, we sipped on Skipee’s Lemonade—I had the passion fruit strawberry, and he had the grape strawberry. Both were refreshing and packed with flavor. “Ok so I want to preface this by saying, this would’ve been a 5 star review HAD my rice not been crunchy and weird in chunks. Otherwise that food was absolutely divine. The service was awesome and other than the rice, I can tell that they put lots of love and time into their food but they should really consider updating the ambiance of the restaurant. Doesn’t make you want to sit and eat unfortunately. What they might fail to realize, is that if someone sits to eat there, they order more. They will almost ALWAYS get drinks and possibly dessert. They will get their investment back. Food for thought. The curried goat was honestly the best I’ve ever had. Awesome and hot beef Patties, flavorful and juicy chicken. No issues…but that damn rice! Lol“
