“Swung by One Stop Jamaica Jerk on 79th and grabbed the jerk chicken dark meat dinner. That chicken was juicy with just the right amount of heat. Sides of red beans & rice and cabbage were on point, and the plantains added a sweet touch. Washed it down with a Jamaican soda, bringing the total to about $25. Portions were generous, and the flavors hit home. Definitely a solid spot for authentic jerk on the South Side.“

“Hubby and I were hungry and decided to order from the #2 location which is in Richton Park, IL. You definitely get your money's worth and then some in the amount of food they give you. We got the oxtail dinner and it was delicious. The sides were cabbage greens and plantains. Comes also with rice and beans. Cabbage was okay and the rice was plentiful.

About a week later, we decided to order from #2 again but for some reason, they weren't taking orders at that particular time so we ordered from this location, #4. I must say, this location is closer and we enjoyed the food more. The cabbage greens tasted so much better and they add a delicious sauce on top of the rice & beans which adds a great flavor so we will be ordering from this #4 location from now on.

Highly recommend the oxtail dinner, the butter chicken dinner and their meaty rib tips are the BOMB!! The pictures show it all and how much food they give.

“The food was delicious. I didn't take any pics unfortunately. I had the meat combo with oxtails and jerk wings with cabbage. Everything tasted so good. I can't wait to go back and try more food items. I am glad someone told me about this place. I got lucky. The prices are a plus.“

“Was a great Chicago style hot dog. Had beef as well and that was good to. Was a big beef. Had it with peppers, came with red and green peppers. Next time would also get giardiniera. Fry's were hot and fresh. Not much room to eat in but we ordered at counter and still ate in, it was a cold day. We fit in with our 3 adults and 2 kids at the counter style seating just fine.“

“This is the very 1st Jerk restaurant where EVERYTHING was good and fresh. I had oxtails, jerk chicken, cabbage, Mac and Cheese, yams, peas and rice, and plantain. My Ma had a full dark jerk chicken dinner as well. The Mac and cheese was seasoned to perfection and cheesy as ever (no egg; baked). The yams not overly sweet, jerk chicken just right. The cabbage is consistently good. Only disappointment was the size oxtail they give is small. (4 little pieces and 2 big. Thats everywhere though) EVERYTHING was hot, and did I say fresh?? glad it's right around my Mas house. I'll be eating here much more often!!“

“I love jerk palace I eat at this location everytime I visit Chicago. My father passed away so i decided to book them for catering for his repast services yesterday. I REGRET THAT SO MUCH I spent $1,090 THE CATERING FOOD WAS TERRRIBLE all of the chicken was burnt, rice wasn’t fully cooked and mac was super soupy… So that being said the food is good for a take out order but do not book them for catering they can’t handle it…. I even went in to complain in person n I was just told sorry while spending $118 more dollars on single meals. But I own a food business in mn and in this situation some kind of resolution should have been made a credit or something. That was nasty work!“

“Ate here tonight and the food was wonderful. We had jerk turkey tips, jerk salmon and shrimp, yam, greens, cabbage, Mac and cheese and fried rice. Everything was tasty, hot, freshly made and spicy. The ladies were super friendly, helpful and provided great service. We will definitely be back to try other items. Ask about the specials that aren’t in the regular menu. Yum!“

“Was in town for a visit. I came for the ox tails and they were out of them. No patties. In a new place, I decided to see how their jerk chicken tasted since they didn’t have my favs. The wings were decent and the jerk entree was OK. Not the best jerk I’ve had. Not close. But was definitely tasty and I would recommend. But if you’re used to authentic Jamaican jerk, this isn’t it. The service was fine and rhe atmosphere was 🔥. Definitely a good hang if visiting the chi. I would go back for the atmosphere alone 😎💪🏿🙌🏾“

“PLEASE!! ! Take your money somewhere else! This place is a complete ripoff for MEDIOCRE food! How do you advertise something as a “ dinner” and then have the AUDACITY to charge people for rice and peas. That is soo absurd! It’s extremely expensive for trash food and rude service. “I’m bias because this is my neighborhood jerk but to be fair all my jerk dinners have been on point. Rice and peas are a solid base and the spice of the sauce is the best compliment. Even the mac is even decent. Don’t have to trust me - Not like I’ve ever gone anywhere.“

“We got the chicken dinners and the chicken Alfredo. Everything was delicious and I am going back again. Even tho they gave us the wrong order when we picked up our food, they let us keep the other food. We were only blocks away and people make mistakes. The OX tail was delish and the mac n cheese was addicting. Highly recommend for something new. If your sick of the same old thing you gotta check this place out!!“
