I placed an order at the Anthony St location (newer one), and ordered delivery. I guess delivery orders get converted to DoorDash as opposed to having in-house delivery driver. DoorDash delivery driver dropped off the wrong order. I don't recommend the Potbelly's on Green St in Champaign to be exact. First off, there was plastic in my soup which I discovered while eating because I pulled it out my mouth! 🤮 I called the store since it was delivered and I was at work. Potbelly is a sandwich chain that many customers love, with food that is better than other sandwich chains by a long shot. The service can be inconsistent; sometimes the awesome manager or the owner is really kind, especially when orders are messed up. There have been multiple funny times when takeout orders forget something in the bag, like napkins, forks, or even big items. One customer once ate a salad with a knife and was not even mad. Another time, a customer paid 24 dollars for an online order but got it so wrong. Also, this location does not accept cash, only apple pay and cards, which can be a problem. Despite these issues, the food is delicious, and kind staff have been known to take care of customers, making it a place many would recommend.
