“Took my family to MAS-ICNA convention and stayed at Hampton Inn next door. Gave Krave a shot. Probably 1 of the best experiences I've had in all of Chicago. Courteous, caring, comfort, and everything good in between. It gave me comfort that owner was of same background as I was to so that's a cherry on top in itself.

Food was top tier. Portions are beyond generous. Staff extremely thoughtful. I can't speak enough praise about this place. They deserve their success and so much more. This is my go to spot when I come back down again

“Cream of mushroom soup is good. Home made soups are good. The breaded tenderloin sandwich with mashed potatoes was good. Showed up a bit weird though. The breaded tenderloin was on top of the bread with mashed potatoes and gravy to the side. The entire dish was then covered in brown gravy. There was no way possible to make a sandwich, but I cut it all up together and ate it as a mix. It was still good.“

“We had a great experience here. First off the staff was very friendly and very attentive. They welcomed us with some delicious soup and all the pancakes tasted like home cooking. The portions are very generous and the food is delicious. They kept our coffee flowing and it was fresh and tasty. Great experience over all and we will be coming back soon.“

“Nice hidden gem! The food was great, I tried the iced mazapán latte. Every meal comes with a sopa de fideo which in my opinion was very authentic. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Me and my husband sat outside the cafe , that too was also my favorite part it’s very cute and I enjoyed all the beautiful flowers that they have. Will definitely be back!“

“Won't be back and certainly Do not recommend. whatever you do, don't order a meal that includes stuffing. stuffing was the consistency of oatmeal. mushy and had something that resembled mini grapes?? I honestly don't know what that ingredient was. never in my life have I seen that. waitress didn't know what it was either. Waitress asked if I wanted something else instead of the stuffing, but came back and said they wouldn't exchange the side dish. Within 45 min, we both have upset stomachs and bathroom issues.“

“I grew up in Tinley Park and the Olympic Star has been a staple in our city forever. I'm now out of state but every time we're back in the Chicago area we go to the Star. Everything is phenomenal in this restaurant and the Chicken Soup is to die for, it's so good we went home with 3 qts of it to take it home out-of-state“

“The food was fresh and piping hot as the waitress brought it out to everyone in my 5-person party. I had the meatlovers skillet. The meats were cooked to my liking, no uncooked bacon, and the potatoes were fully cooked to perfection. The eggs were cheesy and blended together easily in my skillet. The pancakes were fluffy and hot with my meal. The wait was semi long for table/booth, but the food didn't disappoint.“
