Beautiful place! We tried the avocado toast with a perfectly cooked over medium egg. And the veggie sandwich which was piled high with fresh veggies and a delicious thin egg! The cold brew was generous for a medium and caramel in flavor! The earl grey tea was delicious and aromatic! We will definitely come back and are excited to try the empanadas, tamales, chilequiles and tacos too!
One of the best cafes I've been to for my short stay near the lakeshore hotel. They have a wonderfull selection of breakfast sandwhiches that will leave you very satisfied! I really started to miss the warm delicious poppy seed muffins

I've lived in the area for 20 years and have seen a few places come and go out of this spot. Almendro has had the best food and atmosphere. Very homey and the empanadas are great. Pasties and salads look wonderful as well. I'll be back and we need to support this place. It's the perfect mom and pop and we really need more spots like this in the area. The Mexican coffee is wonderful and after losing the Argentine Cafe this is the new go to.
