A South Side staple! I grew up on this restaurant and still practically 20 years later I can say it’s the most consistent jerk chicken restaurant I’ve had in the city. My food is always fresh, the meat isn’t burnt, food hot upon delivery and take out. They use to have several open years ago but I’m glad Hyde Park stayed open because it close to my house. Already have ate here twice this week! 🩷
Food was very expensive. The rice tastes like zatarans red beans and rice with coconut milk. For chicken leg quarters i paid close to 40. The chicken was fair however they give you a ton of this parboiled zatarans tweeked rice that ruins the meal. You have to pay extra for bread that was stale and listed as a part of the meal online. sides are mid. just go online and figure out how to cook this yourself at this point.
