Never ate here so not giving a rating on the food. Other than that, this place is one of the best dive bars I've been to. Good selection of beers, great bartenders and just a good atmosphere of people. Prices are pretty decent. Won't break the bank drinking here.
Bernice's Tavern is the best bar in Bridgeport and a top dive bar in the whole city of Chicago! It's a shot and beer kind of place, with an old jukebox that still runs on cash and you pick songs out of a binder. Beer list rotates and always has a few European options paying homage to it's Lithuanian roots. Calling this place a "dive-bar" is a disservice. It's a family run neighborhood bar with the works. Good music (from an awesome preloaded jukebox), a fair selection of beer, wines, and spirits, friendly and quick service, and a very laid back and welcoming atmosphere.
