I’m not a leave a bad review kind of person unless it’s really bad. This is really bad. Price doesn’t match quality or quantity. Never felt more ripped off with a $26 menu item. Ordered the 2 meat, 2 sides. If they call this brisket, I’d be afraid to see what popcorn sized burnt ends they serve. It’s 1 piece of brisket quartered, and maybe a drumstick worth of chicken. Literally pulled out a food scale and weighed the portion and it’s well under the “over half pound”...read full review
We visited Blackwood BBQ at the Mart yesterday and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, but the staff were incredible. My brother is deaf, and Darnell and Demetrius were patient and helpful, communicating with him directly rather than looking to me for help communicating with him. This seems like a small gesture, but it's a really big deal for us and we appreciated their kindness.
Why would you go a chain? They are the same everywhere. Blackwood is a unique dining experience. Every entree and side is unique and delicious and the service is fast and friendly. The brisket, barbecue, beans, potato salad, mac and cheese, and unique sauces here are special. The prices are reasonable.
