Cafe Descartes

The cutest coffee/matcha spot in Burbank. It's a great spot to enjoy your morning/afternoon beverage. There's seating inside and outside. Avriel is wonderful, she went above and beyond to help us choose a drink that fit our taste buds! Thank you, Avriel! Will come again soon :)

I usually have pretty good luck here. Today, one of the workers there was locking up as I walked up. I asked him if they were closed (this was at 12pm). He made a strange face and ran across the hall. I thought maybe he went to use the restroom so I waited. He then reappeared with a tote and looked straight at me and walked a different direction. I have always wanted to stop in when passing by this place. It looked very cozy from the outside. Finally today I am here, and pleased to leave a five star review. First of all the cafe is located inside the large plaza, so you won't see it from the outside. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. I personally enjoyed the mathematic theme. They have an exquisite Italian blend of coffee that goes down very smooth. As a coffee roaster myself, I can speak to it's quality....read full review
