“I have been here a total of 4 times and every time it is a hit ! I usually don’t do reviews but when something is good I definitely support I usually stop and get a donut at Dat Donut and then I walk down and grab some jerk, the location and atmosphere I would only stop during the daytime but as far as the food it is reasonably priced, the portions are large, the jerk chick is really good so is the rice and peas very soft and cabbage, the Mac and Cheese I will say is bland and it is a 3$ up charge lately they have not had any plantains which is a disappointment but I will say if you want some good authentic jerk food try Jerk it iz.“

“Was driving past and saw a Jamaican flag in the window so I turned around. Thank God I did the food is so good ya'll I had the lamb, spinach and mashed potatoes. I'm still outside the restaurant in my car posting this cause the food is gone already!! An amazing Shout out to the owner miss tanya and her staff a wealth of knowledge a true blessing. “I went to this place with my whole family, we came from Orlando to have a great time, get to know the city and of course to eat, and we are demanding, yes, and you know what? “I visited the bloohol today because I like oxtails and the reviews said the oxtails were good. Well just let me say this !! The owner let me take a peek at them before I left and they looked and smelled delicious. So I went to the car and took a bite SMH why did I do that I could not stop eating them !! They were very fresh, tender and flavorful. The rice they came with was a perfect compliment to the oxtails and tasted good too and I am not a rice person. I did not make it home with my dinner !! I had dinner in the car and licked every finger loudly and proudly. If you like oxtails do yourself a favor you got to try bloohol !!“

“Swung by One Stop Jamaica Jerk on 79th and grabbed the jerk chicken dark meat dinner. That chicken was juicy with just the right amount of heat. Sides of red beans & rice and cabbage were on point, and the plantains added a sweet touch. Washed it down with a Jamaican soda, bringing the total to about $25. Portions were generous, and the flavors hit home. Definitely a solid spot for authentic jerk on the South Side.“

“Ordered pickup from the Wabash location. Slightly confusing because the storefront is somewhat of Doordash operated. The goat roti was definitely on point. Roti skin was good quality. This spot fills the gap of missing trini restaurants in the city“
